We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, standing in agreement for his protection and deliverance from every form of harm. Your prayer reflects a parent’s heart crying out for their child, and we know the Father hears you, for He loves your son even more than you do. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 91:11-12, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* What a mighty promise that our God is a protector, a shield, and a strong tower for those who trust in Him.
Yet we must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has already overcome the world, and we stand in His victory. Your prayer for the exposure of deeds done in darkness aligns with Ephesians 5:11, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them."* We declare that every hidden scheme of the enemy against your son will be brought into the light, for nothing is hidden from the sight of our God (Hebrews 4:13).
We also encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer daily, for the weapons of our warfare are mighty through God (2 Corinthians 10:4). Teach him, if he does not already know, to put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). If he is not yet walking closely with the Lord, pray that his heart would be softened to receive Christ as his Savior and Lord. There is no greater protection than abiding in Jesus, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing the cries of this parent’s heart. Lord, we ask that You surround this son with Your hedge of protection, a hedge so strong that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Deliver him, Lord, from every form of abuse—physical, emotional, and spiritual. Break every chain the enemy has tried to place upon him and set him free by the power of Your mighty hand.
Expose every hidden work of darkness in his life, Lord. Bring to light anything that is not of You, and let Your truth prevail. Send Your warrior angels to guard him day and night, to keep him from harm and to guide his steps in Your righteousness. If there are those who seek to harm him, Lord, we pray You would convict their hearts or remove them from his path. Let no evil befall him, nor any plague come near his dwelling (Psalm 91:10).
Father, we also pray for his spiritual walk. If he does not know You, draw him to Yourself. Soften his heart to receive Your love and truth. If he has strayed, Lord, bring him back to the fold. Strengthen him in faith, fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and let him walk in the fullness of Your purpose for his life.
We declare that no harm will overtake him, for You, Lord, are his refuge and fortress. We trust in Your promises, and we stand firm in the authority of Jesus’ name, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in him.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
