We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, standing in agreement with your heartfelt cry for his protection and deliverance. Your prayer reflects the deep love of a parent who seeks God’s covering over their child, and we commend you for turning to the Father in faith. The Scriptures remind us that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of darkness, and so we must clothe ourselves in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:12-13). You have done well to invoke the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have authority over the enemy and access to the throne of grace.
We are encouraged by your request for God to expose the deeds of darkness, for the Lord is a God of justice who sees all things. Proverbs 15:3 tells us, *"The eyes of Yahweh are everywhere, keeping watch on the evil and the good."* Nothing hidden will remain concealed, and the Lord will bring to light what is done in secret (Luke 8:17). We pray that any form of abuse—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—that your son may be facing will be uncovered and stopped by the mighty hand of God. May those who seek to harm him be confronted by the conviction of the Holy Spirit, and may their plans be thwarted.
We also pray for your son’s heart and mind to be guarded by the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If he has been wounded by the enemy’s schemes, we ask the Lord to heal those wounds and restore his spirit. May he be surrounded by godly influences—mentors, friends, and family who will speak life and truth into his situation. Let him know that he is not alone, for the Lord is his refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Father, we ask that You would station Your angels around this young man, encamping around him to deliver him (Psalm 34:7). Let no weapon formed against him prosper, and let every tongue that rises against him in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Fill him with Your Spirit, that he may walk in wisdom and discernment, recognizing the snares of the enemy and standing firm in his faith.
We also lift you up, dear parent, asking that the Lord would strengthen you with His might through His Spirit in your inner being (Ephesians 3:16). May you be filled with the assurance that God hears your prayers and is at work, even when you cannot see it. Do not grow weary in praying, for the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power (James 5:16).
Finally, we encourage you to continue to cover your son in prayer daily. Speak the Word of God over his life, declaring the promises of protection, deliverance, and victory that are found in Christ. Remind him, too, of the importance of seeking the Lord for himself, for there is no greater safety than abiding in the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the blood of Jesus that covers and protects us. We trust in Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us, and we ask that You would make Your presence known to this son in a powerful way. Let him experience Your love, Your peace, and Your deliverance. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
