We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, standing in agreement with your heartfelt plea for his protection and deliverance. The Scriptures remind us of God’s unfailing care for His children, and we take refuge in His promises as we intercede for your son. The Lord is a strong tower, a shield, and a defender for those who trust in Him. As it is written in Psalm 91:11-12, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* We claim this promise over your son, asking the Lord to surround him with His heavenly host, guarding him from all harm and evil influences.
The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firmly on the truth of John 10:10, where Jesus declares, *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly."* We rebuke every scheme of the enemy against your son—whether through physical harm, emotional manipulation, or spiritual attack. May the Lord expose every hidden work of darkness, as Ephesians 5:11 commands, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them."* Let every evil plan be brought to light and rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus.
We also pray for your son’s heart and mind to be rooted in Christ, that he may walk in wisdom and discernment. May he be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, as Colossians 1:9-10 encourages, *"that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God."* If there are areas in his life where he has strayed or been influenced by ungodly company, we ask the Lord to convict and draw him back to Himself. Let him find his strength and identity in Christ alone, resisting the temptations of this world.
Father, we ask that You place godly mentors and influences in his life—people who will speak truth, encourage righteousness, and model a life surrendered to You. Surround him with a community of believers who will uplift him in prayer and hold him accountable in love. We pray that if he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, that today would be the day of salvation for him. Let him understand that *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). May he confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, that he may be saved (Romans 10:9).
We also lift you up, dear parent, asking the Lord to strengthen you with His peace and assurance. Do not grow weary in praying for your son, for the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16). Trust that the Lord hears you and is at work, even when you cannot see it. Rest in His promise from Philippians 1:6, *"being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you (and your son) will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."*
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and protection. We ask that You go before your son, making his paths straight, and that You would be his rear guard, shielding him from every attack. Let Your hedge of thorns surround him, so that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare victory in his life, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
