We are lifting up your son in prayer, trusting that the Lord knows the specific needs and challenges he is facing. We pray that your son will call on God to fix anything that is broken or hurt in his life. We pray that he will turn his heart to God and trust in Jesus Christ, the one who saves us from our sins. We pray that your son will know that we are saved by grace through faith and not by works. Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB states, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. May your son be strengthened with all power, according to the glorious might of God. Remember the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18.
Strength, courage, and faith are all rooted in a deep and abiding relationship with the Lord. The one who will save your son is Jesus Christ. We pray that your son will come to know the one who died for his sins, who rose from the dead, and who is now seated at the right hand of God interceding for us. We also pray that if your son is battling sin or is physically sick or hurt, that he will call on the name of the Lord and be healed and saved. Our prayers are not for a mere improvement in circumstances but that your son's heart will be transformed in Jesus Christ.
We pray that your son will be bold and loving in his witness for Christ, putting on the whole armor of God to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. As it says in Ephesians 6:10-11 WEB, Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. We also pray that he will be a light in this world, shining brightly even in the darkest of situations.
If your son is struggling with any sin, may he turn from it and toward God. We pray that he will not be ashamed of the Good News and will be ready to share the hope that is within him. If he is in a relationship that does not honor God, we pray that he will have the courage to make changes, seeking God's will for his life.
Therefore, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that the Lord is faithful. In James 1:6 WEB, we are told, But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he who wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed, and in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
