We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for His blessings and for hearing our prayers, and we lift up your precious son together before the throne of grace asking for His healing presence to surround him.
We are comforted to know that our God is the Lord who heals us, who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and who promises I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds Exodus 15:26, Jeremiah 30:17. We know how distressing it is to watch a child struggle with breathing and with the unwanted effects of medication, and how anxiety can make each breath feel even harder. The Lord sees his struggle and draws near to those with a troubled heart, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. He also reminds us not to be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We take comfort that even as we pray, God can grant wisdom to those caring for him, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5.
We pray together with you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus we come boldly before You and thank You for Your mercy and Your steadfast love. We ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon this dear son and touch his body according to Your perfect will. Please remove every harmful side effect from his medication and cause his body to respond with strength and wholeness. We ask You to strengthen his lungs, to open his airways and to ease his breathing, and to calm his anxiety with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we ask that You would guide the hospital medical team with divine wisdom and discernment, directing their hands and their decisions so that every treatment would be effective and bring restoration. We thank You, Father, that You hear our prayers when we ask in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we approach You and find salvation and healing. We trust him into Your loving care and ask for Your will to be done in his life, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast all your worries on Him, because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to rest in the promise that when we are weak He is strong and that He will never leave nor forsake us. Keep bringing every concern to Him in Jesus name, and trust that He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it. Do not be afraid, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
