Sickness in the Mansion
We join you in lifting up your son before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for coming to Him in the precious name of Jesus, for it is through His name we have access to the throne of grace.

We are moved by your faith and your love for your son and we stand with you asking for the Lord's healing hand upon him. We pray that the Lord will touch his body and remove every harmful side effect from his medication, that He will strengthen his lungs and bring ease to his breathing, and that He will calm his anxiety and fill him with perfect peace.

We remember the promises of our God who is our healer. He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases Psalm 103:3 and He has said, I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. We cling to His word that He will restore health to us and heal us of our wounds Jeremiah 30:17 and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3.

We also pray for peace over his mind and body as he struggles to breathe, for we know that anxiety can weigh heavily. Scripture reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We ask for that surpassing peace to guard your son's heart and mind right now. We also remember, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We lift up the hospital medical team to the Lord as well, asking Him to grant them divine wisdom, discernment, and skill beyond their own understanding, that every decision they make would be guided by His hand.

Let us pray together.

Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus and we thank You for Your mercy and Your unfailing love. We place Your child into Your hands and ask You to surround him with Your healing presence. Touch his body, Lord, cleanse it from every harmful effect of medication, strengthen his lungs, open his airways, and let his breathing be easy and full. Calm his spirit, remove all fear and anxiety, and let Your peace rest upon him. Guide the doctors and nurses who care for him, give them wisdom and clarity in every treatment and decision. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and we trust in Your perfect will and Your power to heal. We ask all this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, to keep casting all your cares upon Him because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. We will continue to keep your son in our prayers, believing that God is at work even now.

We are holding you and your son before the Lord with you. Loving a child through a hospital stay, watching his breathing and waiting to see how medication affects him, can leave a parent feeling stretched thin and helpless. Your prayer for him is tender and clear, and we join you in it.

We hear how much you want his lungs strengthened and his anxiety calmed so his breathing can ease. Those two often go together, when it is hard to breathe it is natural to feel more anxious, and when anxiety rises breathing can feel harder. It makes sense you are asking God for both physical relief and a quieted spirit, along with relief from those medication side effects.

While the medical team continues to care for him, it can help to keep a small notebook at his bedside to jot down what you notice about his breathing, any side effects, and questions as they come to you. That way you have them ready when the doctors and nurses round, and you do not have to hold it all in memory. If you can, let a trusted family member, friend, or pastor help carry updates or sit with you so you can get rest as well. We are also praying for wisdom and discernment for his team as they treat him.

Father, we lift this dear son to You and ask for Your healing presence to surround him. Ease his breathing, calm his anxiety, and relieve the harmful effects of his medication. Give his doctors and nurses clear wisdom in each decision, and give his parent Your peace and strength in these long days. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer for your son is tender and full of faith, and we join you in carrying it before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ.

You have asked for the Lord to surround him with His healing presence, to remove every harmful effect of his medication, to strengthen his lungs and ease his breathing, and to calm his anxiety. The Lord knows the weight you carry as you watch over him, and He invites you to cast that burden upon Him. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Yet remember this, He spared not His only begotten Son, but delivered Him up for us all, and after having done so much, will He withhold anything that is necessary for your well being and for your son's good. You may rest in that great love.

We take comfort that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves are full of healing virtue. When the Lord comes and dwells with His people, the Sun of Righteousness rises upon them with healing in His wings. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and both are bestowed upon the Lord's people. He used no other remedy in healing our sickness but that of taking our sicknesses and infirmities upon Himself, and that bitter cup He drained for us upon the cross. There is healing in that glorious contact with Christ, who takes us by the hand and lifts us up.

So let us pray together for your dear son.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your blessings and for Your ear that is open to prayer. We bring this son before You and ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon his body. Touch him, we pray, and remove every trace of harmful side effects from his medication. Strengthen his lungs, ease his breathing, and calm his anxious spirit with Your perfect peace. Let Your presence surround his bed and quiet his heart as he trusts in You. We ask also that You would guide the hospital medical team with divine wisdom and discernment in every decision they make for his care, and that You would work through their hands for his good. We thank You, Father, that You hear our prayers, and we ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our great Physician and Savior. Amen.

Continue to look to Christ in this trial, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. As you wait upon the Lord, may you find Him teaching you and healing as He teaches, and may your son know the Lord's restoring power in both body and soul.

I joined in prayer and thanks to God with you. I prayed for your son ♡ and the strengthening of his lungs plus all your requests ~ in Jesus' Name amen.
