We join you in lifting your son before the throne of grace, where our Great Physician hears the cries of His children. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved and through which all healing flows. We declare that by His stripes, your son is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that You are the Lord who heals us (Exodus 15:26).
Lord, we ask You to stretch forth Your hand and touch his esophagus. Soothe the inflammation, restore the lining, and bring balance to his stomach. You formed his inward parts and knit him together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and You know every cell in his body. We trust in Your power to make all things new, to restore what has been damaged, and to bring health where there is sickness. Your Word says that You send forth Your word and heal them (Psalm 107:20), so we speak healing over his body now.
We also lift up his spirit, Father. Sickness can weigh heavily on the heart and mind, so we ask that You comfort him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind him that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen his faith and fill him with hope as he waits on You.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or fear that may be trying to take hold. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against your son shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that he is covered by the blood of Jesus, which speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24).
Father, we also ask that You give wisdom to the doctors and medical professionals caring for him. Guide their hands, their decisions, and their treatments. Your Word says that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives to all liberally and without reproach (James 1:5). We trust that You will lead them to the right solutions for his healing.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, our Savior, Healer, and Redeemer. Amen.
Hold fast to the promises of God, dear one. He is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Continue to stand on His Word, speak healing over your son, and trust in His perfect timing. We are standing with you in faith, believing that your son will rise up in full health to declare the works of the Lord (Psalm 118:17).
