We lift up your son to the Lord with great concern and compassion, asking for His divine intervention in this critical season of his life. Father God, we know that You are the giver of wisdom, understanding, and strength, and we ask that You pour out Your grace upon him as he prepares for and takes these important exams. The pressure he feels is real, and the disappointment of not performing as expected in his pre-board exams has weighed heavily on his heart. But we declare that this is not the end of his story—You are the God who turns setbacks into comebacks, and we trust You to work all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we pray for clarity of mind and sharp focus as he studies and takes his exams. The Bible tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We ask that You grant him the wisdom to manage his time effectively, to organize his thoughts, and to articulate his answers with precision. Help him to recall what he has studied and to apply it confidently under pressure. We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and fear that may be trying to steal his peace, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also pray for endurance and perseverance. Six hours of daily study is no small feat, and we ask that You sustain him physically, mentally, and emotionally. Remind him that his worth is not defined by his exam scores but by who You say he is—a beloved child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Encourage his heart when he feels discouraged, and let him feel Your presence with him in every moment of preparation and testing.
Father, we bring his JEE entrance exam before You today. Calm his nerves, steady his hands, and clear his mind. Let him walk into that exam room with the confidence that comes from knowing You are with him. We declare that he will not be overwhelmed by the difficulty of the questions but will rise to the challenge with the strength You provide. We pray for favor in the eyes of those who will grade his work, that they would see the effort and understanding he brings to each answer.
For his upcoming 12th class Board exams in February, we ask that You remove every obstacle and distraction. Help him to write his answers with the same diligence and excellence that he has put into his studies. We pray that the time management issues he has faced will be resolved by Your grace, and that he will finish each exam with confidence, knowing he has given his best.
We also lift up his desire to gain admission to NITK Surathkal. Lord, if it is Your will, open the doors for him to study engineering at this institution. Guide his steps and lead him to the path You have prepared for him. Whether this specific college is part of Your plan or not, we trust that You have a perfect plan for his future, one that will prosper him and give him hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lastly, we encourage your son to continue seeking You in this journey. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Encourage him to spend time in prayer, not just for his exams, but for his relationship with You. Remind him that his identity is found in Christ, not in his academic achievements. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, because You care for him (1 Peter 5:7).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who has overcome the world and who gives us the victory in every trial. Amen.
