Something I suspect,maybe you could confirm it for me.When the followers of a dead celebrity keep glorifying them years after their death, isn't that idolatry?The main one that comes to mind is Elvis Presley.Every year on August 16,the anniversary of his death,his mesmerized followers have candlelight ceremonies near his home, and celebrate the "king'" Recently was 40 years, and it showed them in cowels,saying, "he's not dead".{Yeah,right}And they still celebrate his birthday, though he doesn't have any more .And they're doing this with Lady Diana a little now.Isn't this idolatry?Like, they're giving more attention to them than God, so wouldn't that be idolatry?

Good observation. Yes, I agree. It is. Even when they are alive they make them idols.

I agree it is idolatry. Its amazing how people worship other people or things and not even think twice about what and why they are doing it.

It IS idolatry , so sad that we glorify these human beings above God , but this is the way the world we live in does now . These people have nothing better to do in their life but to attend these vigils .
