Someone touched me and tried to do witchcraft.

We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name given under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). What you have described is a direct attack from the enemy, and we take this very seriously. The Bible is clear that witchcraft is an abomination to the Lord, as it seeks to operate outside of His authority and power. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."

First and foremost, we rebuke every evil spirit, every curse, every spell, and every form of witchcraft that has been sent your way. We declare that they have no power over you because you belong to Christ. The Word of God tells us in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We stand in agreement with you, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The blood of Jesus covers you, and no evil can stand against it.

We also want to encourage you to take authority in your own life. You have been given power through Christ to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Do not fear, for God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Walk in the confidence that comes from knowing who you are in Christ, a child of the Most High God.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your protection and Your power that is greater than any force of darkness. We declare that [this person] is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no evil can touch them. We rebuke every spirit of witchcraft, every curse, and every form of darkness that has been sent their way. We break these chains in Jesus’ name and command them to flee. Lord, we ask that You surround [this person] with Your angels and fill them with Your peace. Strengthen their faith and remind them of Your promises. Help them to walk in the authority You have given them as Your child. We thank You for Your victory over the enemy, and we declare that no weapon formed against [this person] shall prosper. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith. Spend time in God’s Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Do not give the devil a foothold by dwelling in fear or bitterness. Instead, fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

If you have not already, consider dedicating time to fasting and prayer. This is a powerful way to draw closer to God and seek His protection. Remember, the battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Trust in Him, and He will fight for you.

It’s unnerving to feel targeted in that way, and we don’t take it lightly when someone describes something like this. We’re standing with you in prayer, and we’re glad you reached out.

One of the most important things we’ve seen in these situations is not to face them alone. When someone feels shaken or spiritually threatened, having a few mature believers from your own church pray with you in person can make a world of difference. That kind of surrounding support is something Scripture itself points to, and it keeps fear from settling in and building a home. We’d gently encourage you to let a trusted pastor or spiritually grounded friend know exactly what happened and ask them to pray with you, not just for you.

Fear can have a way of lingering, so anchor yourself in what remains true regardless of how you might feel: you belong to Christ, and nothing can snatch you from His hand. The enemy’s tactics often stir up confusion and isolation. Simply sharing this with someone trustworthy pushes back against that.

Father, thank you that every power must bow to the name of Jesus. We ask you now to shield our friend with your peace and rebuke anything hostile that has been sent their way. Quiet their heart, silence every lie of the enemy, and let them sense your strong, safe presence. Surround them with companions who will stand with them and speak your truth. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

This touch in the darkness is but the arrow shot from the Evil One, stamped with his own brow and bearing the cloven foot. Look it in the face, Christian, why, it is the devil's own child, making thee doubt thy own Father. Down blaspheming thought! Back to the hell from which thou dost spring! Down! down! down! Christ Jesus, in redeeming His people, will have all or none; nor shall the power of sin, death and Hell be able to hold in captivity one whom Jesus has effectually redeemed. You have done well to bring it into the light and not let it fester in secret. The whole band of troubles never comes forth at once; everything painful is graded and proportioned, and you have laid this one at the feet of the One who has found a ransom.

I join with you in the Spirit to rebuke every infernal assault in Jesus' name. Deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. We look not to our own rebuking, but to His mighty voice who commanded legions. As tribulations abound, so do consolations abound through Christ Jesus. This deliverance came when the Lamb was slain, and the clock of mercy struck in Heaven the hour and moment of your deliverance long ago at the cross. He who found you before you ever thought to find Him will keep you effectually. Let the blood of Jesus, the great Liberator, stand as a wall of fire around you. Sinner, even if you were on the very verge of Hell, if you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, He will loose your bonds and set you at liberty. You are not in the Egypt of your sorrow alone, for the Lord has chastened you sorely, but He has not given you over unto death.

This evil has not come apart from Divine permission, and it is hopeful when we find that all our ills lie within the fence of Omnipotent overruling. No infernal lion shall ever rend one sheep or lamb that the Great Shepherd deigns to keep. I pray you feel the envelope of His presence right now. Do not let the enemy make you forget the works of the Lord. This very attack shall be turned to testimony, for if we had no troubles, we would have less to declare. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. He will bring you forth, and you shall go in the strength of the Lord God, remembering that the best carriage in all the world is Jesus' bosom, it is for the tender and frail, for those who lean not on their own strength. Overcome this evil with good by resting in the finished work, and watch as He makes even this to serve your sanctification. Only trust in Jesus! Rest your soul upon Him and God will yet come to your deliverance.

You have spoken rightly to call upon the name of Jesus. No darkness can withstand that light, and no evil scheme can harm one who is sheltered under the wings of the Most High. The evil one and his agents are like chained dogs; they can only menace those who stray near their reach, but they have no power over the sheep who hear the Shepherd's voice and remain close to Him. When the sons of Sceva tried to use that holy name as a mere charm for profit or display, the demon mocked them, saying, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?" Yet to those who belong to Christ, who have put on Christ through faith and a righteous life, that name is a fortress.

Fear not, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. The weapon formed against you cannot prosper if you yourself do not open the gate of your soul to terror. The thief enters only where the door is left unbarred by anxiety or love of the world. Stand firm, occupy your mind with prayer and thanksgiving, and the vain craft of the sorcerer will be like an arrow shot against a wall of adamant: it will only shatter and fall at his own feet.

Let your fear be turned into pity for the one who has done this, for their own soul has drunk the greater poison. Let your prayer be not only for protection but for the doer of the deed, that they might be delivered from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will. This is not to excuse the act, but it is how the Lord taught us to heap coals of fire upon the enemy's head. Continue in the confession of your faith, and let no remnant of superstitious dread linger in your heart.

To fear a curse is to concede it a power it does not possess. The sign of the Cross, the invocation of the Lord, the life of virtue: these are the things that make the demons flee as from a blazing furnace.

It is understandable to feel disturbed when someone deliberately reaches out to practice witchcraft against you. But take heart: evil has no power over those who belong to the Lord. The beginning of true wisdom is learning to hate evil as God does, not in a panicked, superstitious way, but with a settled refusal to give it a foothold in your thoughts or fears.

What was done to you was wicked, but do not let it inflate in your mind as though that person possessed some irresistible spell. There is a widespread mistake, even among some who claim faith, that an “evil eye” or a ritual touch can place a hex on another human being. That is not how Scripture describes it. An evil eye in the Bible simply means a heart bent on sin, not a magical power one person can aim at another. You do not need to avoid looking at an enemy as if their glance could harm you. What you do need to guard is your own eye, your own heart, that it does not fixate on evil or start to envy the wicked who seem to prosper.

Because sentence against an evil work is not executed immediately, people often misinterpret God’s patience. They think he does not see or care, and they give their hearts over to more evil. But the Lord is not slow concerning his promises; he is longsuffering. All things will be made right. In the end, it will go well for those who fear him and depart from evil, while the wicked will be cut off. So do not fret because of the one who tried to harm you, and certainly do not return evil for evil. Commit the whole matter into God’s hands. He is your defender, and his defense is far better than anything you or I could ever muster.

Notice how even the archangel Michael, when contending with the devil, did not dare to bring a railing accusation. He did not say, “I rebuke you.” He said, “The Lord rebuke you.” If an angel of that rank would not directly confront Satan but instead called on the Lord to do it, how much more should we? There is a dangerous trend among some to hold prolonged conversations with demons or to shout personal rebukes at the enemy. That is not our place. The demons recognize authority, and apart from the name and power of Jesus, we have none. So when you pray, do not try to be the one rebuking. Instead, ask the Lord himself to rebuke every work of darkness meant for your harm. He is more than able.

Let this experience drive you deeper into the fear of the Lord, which hates evil and clings to what is good. Turn away from any lingering anxiety or desire to understand the occult. Do not tolerate evil thoughts or let your mind dwell on what was attempted against you. God did not create wickedness, but he does bring righteous judgment against those who practice it. The evil of rebellion and disobedience will not go unpunished. Your part is to keep your heart clean, honor the Lord with all your life, and trust that he is your refuge.

Pray with me now: “Father, I do not need to be afraid of anyone’s curses or rituals, because greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world. I hate the evil that was intended against me, and I refuse to let it occupy my mind. I do not ask for my own voice to rebuke the enemy, but I pray, ‘The Lord rebuke you, Satan, and every work of witchcraft aimed at your child. The Lord who has chosen his own people rebuke every dark scheme and render it powerless.’ Cover this dear one with your peace, guard their heart and body, and let them rest in the knowledge that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
