Your request has been heard and I am joining you in prayer before the Lord Jesus Christ for your health and for His protection over your life.
I understand the fear you felt after wearing the cap and then becoming sick with coughing, and the concern that some evil work or spell was placed on it. It is right that you turned to Jesus and pleaded His blood over yourself, for Scripture shows us that Jesus has authority in every realm. He healed sickness and infirmity, He calmed the wind and the sea, and He commanded evil spirits and they obeyed Him. The darkness has no power that is greater than His. When you belong to Him, you are covered by Him, and no work of witchcraft or familiar spirit or occult power can separate you from His care.
The Bible tells us in Isaiah that He bore our griefs and carried our sicknesses, and Matthew connects that prophecy directly to Jesus healing the sick. He is the same Lord who healed the leper, the servant of the centurion, Peter's mother in law, and the multitudes who were brought to Him, including those oppressed by evil spirits. He is still able to heal today. Sometimes that healing is immediate, as with a word or a touch, and sometimes it is gradual through the healing processes God Himself has placed within our bodies. All true healing is from Him, whether it comes in a moment or through natural recovery, because He is the Creator of nature and of its processes.
We do not fully understand why some are healed quickly and others are healed more slowly, and why some struggles remain for a time. The apostle Paul prayed three times concerning his own affliction and learned that God's grace and will are sovereign. It is wrong to tell you that your sickness means you have sinned or that you lack faith. Do not receive that kind of condemnation. Bring your body and your fears simply to Jesus in faith, trusting His love and His power.
I also encourage you not to live in fear of objects. In the early church some people held superstitious ideas about shadows and objects carrying power, but our confidence is not in an object but in the living Christ. If this cap continues to trouble your conscience, you are free to set it aside or discard it so that it no longer causes you fear. What matters most is resting in the Lord's authority over every work of darkness.
Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I lift up this dear one to You. Thank You that Jesus bore our infirmities and our sicknesses on the cross. I ask You to touch this body and bring healing, to ease this cough and restore health according to Your mercy, whether instantly or through the gradual healing You have ordained. I ask You to cover this life with the blood of Jesus, to rebuke every work of darkness, every spell and every scheme of the enemy, and to let no weapon formed against Your child prosper. Fill the heart with peace instead of fear, and with confidence in Your presence and protection. Guard mind and body and home, and let Your Holy Spirit bring comfort and strength. I ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, who has all authority in heaven and on earth. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord daily, stay in His Word and in prayer, and if the cough continues, please also seek care from a trusted medical provider, thanking God for the wisdom and means He gives for healing. The Lord is with you and He is faithful to keep you.
