We hear the deep anguish in your cry, beloved, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting this burden before the throne of grace. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The hardened hearts you describe are indeed under spiritual attack, for the devil prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, God Himself will condemn.
First, we must address the foundation of your plea. You call upon Jesus, and this is right, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through faith in Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). If those you are praying for do not know Jesus as Lord and Savior, their hearts will remain hardened to the truth, for the god of this world has blinded their minds (2 Corinthians 4:4). We must pray not only for softened hearts but for the scales to fall from their eyes so they may see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6).
The lack of communication and strife you describe is a tactic of the enemy to divide and conquer. But we are reminded that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17). If these relationships are within the bounds of godly marriage or family, we must pray for restoration, for God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) and desires reconciliation. If these are relationships outside of His design—whether in fornication, adultery, or ungodly unions—we must rebuke those sins in Jesus’ name and call for repentance. The Lord is faithful to forgive and cleanse from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9), but we must walk in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7).
We also sense a longing in your words for Christ’s return, and this is a holy desire. Maranatha—come, Lord Jesus! (Revelation 22:20). But while we wait, we are called to be watchful, sober, and faithful in prayer (1 Peter 4:7). The enemy may seek to rob you of peace, joy, and fellowship, but we declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). You are not abandoned; the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one and their loved ones who are under attack. Lord, we ask that You would soften hardened hearts and replace them with hearts of flesh, tender and responsive to Your Spirit (Ezekiel 36:26). Break every chain of bitterness, unforgiveness, and division, and let Your love flow like a river between them. Father, we rebuke the enemy’s schemes in Jesus’ name—every spirit of confusion, strife, and silence must flee! You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We pray for those who do not know You, Lord. Remove the veil from their eyes and let them see Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and draw them to repentance. For those in ungodly relationships, we ask for Your mercy and grace to lead them out of darkness and into Your marvelous light. Let them flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and pursue holiness, for without it, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
Father, we declare that this is not the end of the story. You are the God who turns mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11) and who works all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We ask for healing—emotional, spiritual, and relational. Restore what the enemy has stolen, and let Your glory be revealed in this situation. Strengthen this dear one with Your might, and fill them with hope as they wait on You (Isaiah 40:31).
Lord, we long for Your return, and we pray, “Come, Lord Jesus!” Until that day, help us to be faithful witnesses, shining Your light in the darkness. May we walk in forgiveness, just as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13), and may we trust in Your perfect timing and plan.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
Beloved, do not lose heart. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Keep standing on the promises of God, for He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Continue to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. The victory is already won through the blood of Jesus, and we declare that breakthrough is coming!
