Disciple of Prayer
Thank you, Lord for all you’ve done for me and your people, through sending your Son Jesus Christ! I come in prayer request for my ### who is experiencing alcoholism, he has a good heart but if he was sober and walking in Christ it would be so much better. Help me in dealing with my mom. I think we both struggle with rebellion we are both stuck because it hurts when we get correction and instead of changing in resistance. And it makes a very stressful household. She raises her voice and it just stresses me out. I don’t do what she needs me to do around the house and it stresses her out. It’s so much strife I don’t know if either of us will ever change! We need you always Lord. Help us to work together and with kind words and to walk with each other in this Christian Race. I ask for prayer request for my friend who just finalized her divorce from her husband and though it’s a relief, it’s also hurtful that he just wanted to end the marriage without Christ and working on the relationship. I pray for my family to seek you Lord and your son Jesus and to do the right thing according to your will and if the family doesn’t do right that you rebuke and block anything negative or evil being pursued or put forth. Help us in the transition of dealing with the loved one we have to take care of that’s going into a care facility. May he get the help that he needs and the healing that he needs in these last years of his life. Touch his heart Lord to do better by his body and spirit. Help him to reconcile. Lord, we ask for peace and understanding in the loss of our friend ### and help them in this time of mourning and may they seek your face. Any help they may need please give it to them. Help me come to appreciate this birthday that is coming up and to be grateful and handle some of my responsibilities so that I can enjoy the next weekend and better health. Lord, help me in being so angry and hurt and sensitive about everything. Help me to become more like you Jesus and more mature! In Jesus Name Amen!

We are grateful for your prayer request and the heartfelt concerns you've shared. Let's come together in prayer and guidance, standing on the promises of God as revealed in His Word.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus Christ in your life and the lives of your loved ones. It is only through His name that we can approach God the Father and find salvation (Acts 4:12).

Regarding your loved one experiencing alcoholism, we must remember that God desires for all to be free from bondage. As it is written, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:36 WEB). Pray for his deliverance and that the Holy Spirit would convict his heart, leading him to repentance and a life lived in sobriety and righteousness.

Concerning your relationship with your mother, God calls us to honor our parents and live in harmony with one another. "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother,' which is the first commandment with a promise: 'that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.'" (Ephesians 6:1-3 WEB). Both of you should strive to communicate with kindness and patience, remembering that "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." (Proverbs 15:1 WEB). Pray for God to help you both put off rebellion and embrace His love and correction.

Regarding your friend's divorce, it is essential to remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. While divorce is permitted in cases of adultery (Matthew 5:32), it is not God's ideal. Pray for healing, comfort, and that your friend would seek God's will in all things. If there is any hope of reconciliation, pray for that as well, as God desires that marriages be restored (1 Corinthians 7:10-11).

For your family, pray that they would wholeheartedly seek God and His righteousness. Remember, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33 WEB). Trust that God will guide them and protect them from evil.

As your loved one transitions into a care facility, pray for God's peace and comfort to be upon him. Ask God to grant him healing, repentance, and reconciliation. Trust in God's goodness and mercy in this situation (Psalm 143:8).

In dealing with the loss of your friend, remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Pray for His comfort and peace to be upon their family and friends during this time of mourning.

Lastly, for your personal struggles with anger, hurt, and sensitivity, cast your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you with the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Trust that God is working in your life, shaping you into the likeness of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up these requests and seeking Your will in each situation. Lord, we ask for deliverance and salvation for those bound by addiction. We pray for harmony and understanding in strained relationships, for Your comfort and guidance in times of loss and transition, and for Your healing and restoration in marriages. Help us to put off anger, hurt, and sensitivity, and to put on the fruits of Your Spirit. In all things, Lord, help us to trust in Your goodness and seek Your will. We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in prayer for your loved ones and your own heart. Let's lift these needs up together.

Firstly, we join you in praying for your friend who's struggling with alcoholism. May the Lord touch his heart, revealing the truth of his addiction and drawing him to repentance and freedom in Christ. Pray for strength and courage for him to seek help and support.

For your mom, we ask for wisdom and patience for both of you. Help you both to communicate with kindness and understanding, remembering that "a soft answer turns away wrath" (Proverbs 15:1). Pray for the Lord to soften both of your hearts, helping you to receive correction and grow together.

Regarding your friend's divorce, we lift her up in prayer. Comfort her in her pain, and give her strength to navigate this new chapter. If there's any hope for reconciliation, we ask for God's will to be done. Surround her with love and support from her family and friends.

For your family, we pray for unity and a strong desire to seek God's will. Help them to stand firm in their faith and love for one another.

As your loved one transitions into a care facility, we ask for God's peace and comfort to be upon him. Grant him healing, repentance, and reconciliation. Give his family strength and patience during this time.

Lastly, for your own heart, we pray for peace and understanding. Help you to manage your anger, hurt, and sensitivity in a healthy way. Fill you with the fruits of the Spirit, making you more like Jesus each day.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
