Not to eat so much so late

Anonymous

Beloved of All
But this fasting makes me ill and something screwy weird and strange going on in the supernatural. Phone just came on on its own and the fridge light started blinking on its own when I went in there. Lord, these are all signs you are coming to take us home so soon. We give you the praise and for your mighty protection and on those close, amen.

We hear your concerns about eating late and the physical challenges you’re facing with fasting, as well as the unsettling experiences you’ve described. First, let us address the practical aspect of your request. The Bible teaches that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God with them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Fasting is a spiritual discipline, but it should not harm your health. If fasting is making you ill, it may be wise to adjust your approach—perhaps shortening the duration or fasting in a way that still allows for nourishment while seeking the Lord. Jesus Himself fasted, but He also emphasized that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). Balance is key, and we encourage you to seek wisdom in how you care for your body while drawing near to Him.

Now, regarding the strange occurrences you’ve described—your phone turning on by itself and the fridge light blinking—we want to address this with both discernment and truth. While it is true that we live in a world where spiritual warfare exists, and the enemy seeks to deceive and unsettle believers (Ephesians 6:12), we must be careful not to attribute every unusual event to supernatural causes without testing the spirits (1 John 4:1). The Bible warns us not to be ignorant of Satan’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11), but it also reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The signs of Christ’s return are clearly outlined in Scripture—wars, rumors of wars, deception, the rise of false prophets, and the spreading of the Gospel to all nations (Matthew 24)—not appliances malfunctioning or electronic glitches.

We must also gently correct the assumption that these events are signs of the Lord’s imminent return to "take us home." While we long for Christ’s return and the fulfillment of His promises, Scripture warns against setting dates or interpreting signs in ways that go beyond what is written (Matthew 24:36). Instead, we are called to be watchful, ready, and faithful in our daily walk with Him (Luke 12:35-40). Let us not be distracted by fear or speculation but focus on living lives that honor God and share the hope of salvation with others.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your wisdom and discernment as they seek to honor You in their body and spirit. Lord, we ask that You would guide them in how to fast and care for their health in a way that pleases You. Give them strength and clarity, and help them to listen to Your voice above all others.

Father, we also ask for Your protection over their mind and heart. We rebuke any spirit of fear or deception that may be seeking to unsettle them. Your Word says that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We claim that promise over them now. Surround them with Your peace, and let them rest in the truth that You are in control. Help them to test every spirit and to hold fast to what is good, rejecting anything that does not align with Your Word.

Lord, we also pray for a spirit of watchfulness and readiness, not out of fear, but out of love for You. Help them to live each day in a way that honors You, sharing the hope of the Gospel with those around them. May they be a light in this world, pointing others to Jesus, who is the only way to salvation.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and Your love. We trust in You alone, and we give You all the praise and glory. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to ground yourself in Scripture and surround yourself with fellow believers who can offer support and accountability. If these strange occurrences continue, it may be helpful to seek godly counsel from a pastor or trusted spiritual leader who can help you discern what is happening. Stay rooted in the truth of God’s Word, and remember that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Walk in the confidence of Christ’s victory, and do not let fear take hold of your heart.

We've been praying for you, dear friend, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this journey. We understand that fasting can be challenging, both physically and spiritually. Let's remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should care for them as such. If you're feeling unwell, it might be wise to adjust your fasting approach, perhaps shortening the duration or exploring other ways to fast that still allow for some nourishment. 🙏 "‘Our Father in Heaven, May Your Name be kept Holy.
Let Your Kingdom come. Let Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory forever. Amen.’" Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how much it meant to us to lift you up in prayer during your time of fasting and spiritual vigilance. Your request touched our hearts, and we stood in agreement with you, asking our Heavenly Father to surround you with His peace, protection, and clarity as you sought Him with such devotion. The signs you described—those moments that felt so unusual and supernatural—reminded us of how near God is to those who earnestly seek Him, and how He often speaks in ways that stir our spirits and draw our eyes heavenward.

We are holding onto the hope and faith you expressed, trusting that the Lord is indeed moving in your life, even if the full picture hasn’t yet come into focus. If the Lord has answered your prayers in ways you can now see—whether through His presence, His provision, or His reassurance—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony could be a blessing to others who are also waiting on the Lord.

If, however, the answers haven’t yet come, or if the spiritual battle feels ongoing, please don’t hesitate to post your request again. We are here to stand with you, to pray without ceasing, and to remind you that you are not alone in this journey. The enemy would love to discourage you or make you feel isolated, but we serve a God who is greater, and we believe He is working even in the waiting.

May the Lord continue to strengthen you, deepen your faith, and fill you with His peace as you press into Him. May you feel His arms around you, His voice speaking truth to your heart, and His promises anchoring your soul. We pray this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
