So much pain in this heatwave

Anonymous

Beloved of All
So overwhelmed and exhausted, having much pain on knee arm shoulder and with lumps not dissolving and on under arm. Previous doc said could be cancerous and present dr staff now refusing speak with me to help any further and had to make a complaint bc the dr staff won’t let me get more testing. God I You are the Great physician, so I’m asking putting all my trust in you I put it all in your hands that your perfect will be done in all of this in Jesus Yashua powerful name above every name. Please help they claim it will be even hotter next week. We need to take shelter in your Coolness please help us and thwart this evil heat. Praises. Need mighty miracles. Amen

We hear your cry in the midst of this intense suffering, physical pain, medical uncertainty, and the crushing weight of feeling abandoned by those who should offer care. The heat is not just outside; it feels like it’s pressing in on your body and spirit, and we stand with you in this battle, lifting every burden before the throne of grace.

First, we rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to grip you. The enemy would love nothing more than for you to be paralyzed by anxiety over what could be, but God’s Word declares, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). You have already taken the right step by surrendering this to the Lord, acknowledging Him as the Great Physician. But let us also remind you that while we trust God for healing, we do not despise the wisdom He provides through medical professionals. The refusal of further testing is not just negligence, it is a failure of duty, and we pray for divine intervention to open doors for the care you need. "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:14-15 WEB). We believe in God’s power to heal supernaturally, but we also recognize His sovereignty in using doctors, tests, and treatments as part of His plan.

We must address the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy would love to use this heatwave, both literally and as a metaphor for oppression, to wear you down. But we declare that this is not just a weather pattern; it is a tactic of the enemy to bring despair. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command it to loose its grip on your body in Jesus’ name. "Surely he has borne our sicknesses, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:4-5 WEB). Your healing was purchased at the cross, and we stand on that finished work.

We also pray for divine favor in your interactions with medical staff. The stonewalling you’ve faced is unacceptable, and we ask God to soften hearts, grant you wisdom in advocacy, and even raise up advocates on your behalf. "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires" (Proverbs 21:1 WEB). Let this be a testimony of God’s provision, even in broken systems.

For the physical pain, we cry out for relief. The lumps, the inflammation, the exhaustion, we ask the Lord to bring supernatural comfort and tangible healing. "Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burdens, even the God who is our salvation" (Psalm 68:19 WEB). We also pray for practical relief from the heat. Whether through divine intervention in the weather, provision of cooling resources, or wisdom to find respite, we ask God to be your shelter. "For you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy. I will dwell in your tent forever. I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings" (Psalm 61:3-4 WEB).

We must also speak to your spirit: Do not let weariness cause you to lose sight of God’s faithfulness. Even in this fire, He is with you. "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you" (Isaiah 43:2 WEB). Your praises in the midst of pain are a sacrifice that honors Him, and they are not in vain.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You as Your children, broken but believing. We lift up our sister/brother to You, who is carrying such heavy burdens, physical pain, medical uncertainty, and the weight of feeling unseen. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who heals, and the God who fights for Your children. We ask You to move mightily in this situation.

First, we pray for healing. Touch every part of her/his body that is afflicted. Dissolve the lumps, ease the inflammation, and restore strength where there is weakness. We declare that by Your stripes, she/he is healed (Isaiah 53:5). If there is a need for further medical intervention, open the right doors, soften the hearts of those in authority, and grant wisdom to every doctor and specialist involved.

Father, we also pray against the spirit of despair that seeks to take root. Replace fear with faith, anxiety with peace, and exhaustion with Your supernatural rest. Be her/his shelter in this heat, both the physical and the spiritual. Provide relief, respite, and resources to endure this season.

We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against her/his health and well-being. We break the power of infirmity, delay, and neglect in Jesus’ name. Let this be a testimony of Your power and faithfulness. Strengthen her/his faith to trust You even when the path is unclear.

Lord, we also ask for Your provision in practical ways. If there is a need for cooling, for transportation to appointments, or for advocates to stand alongside her/him, raise them up. Let Your church be Your hands and feet in this time.

Above all, draw her/him closer to You. Let this trial refine her/his faith like gold, and let her/his testimony bring glory to Your name. We trust You, Lord, for mighty miracles, not because we deserve them, but because You are a God of compassion and mercy.

We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.

Hold fast to hope, dear one. This is not the end of your story. God is writing a testimony of His power in your life, and we believe He will bring beauty from these ashes. Keep praising Him, even in the fire, for He inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). You are not alone.

We hear the weight you're carrying, the pain in your knee, arm, shoulder, those lumps that won't go away, and the exhaustion that comes from fighting for basic medical attention. It's deeply frustrating to be dismissed when your body is sounding alarms, and we're sorry you're facing all of this in such oppressive heat.

We are so glad you're placing your trust fully in Jesus as the Great Physician. That's a steady place to land. Given what you've shared about a previous doctor raising the possibility of cancer, we'd gently encourage you not to give up on pursuing medical answers, even as you pray. Please consider seeing a different doctor or a specialist who will take your symptoms seriously and stop to listen. Sometimes a fresh set of ears can open a door that feels slammed shut, and God often works through the hands of compassionate, skilled physicians.

As the heat intensifies, we ask for His shelter and refreshment for you, both in body and spirit. We don't minimize how hard this is, but we want you to know we're standing with you, asking for His will and His goodness in the middle of it all.

Father, thank You for seeing this dear one right now, weary, in pain, and hoping for a breakthrough. Bring cool relief from the heat, and a deep, steady peace that passes understanding. We bring every ache and every lump to You, trusting Your power to heal and guide. We also ask that You make a way for them to connect with a doctor who will listen, investigate, and help. Sustain their strength and let hope rise, even when the days feel endless. In Jesus' mighty name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The Great Physician is never at a loss. All power dwells in Him to heal every malady, whether of body or of soul, and He has not lost His ancient touch. The very leaves of that Tree of Life which grows by the river of His love are full of healing virtue, the least things about Christ are brimming with restorative power. When the heat of affliction beats upon you, and the lumps and the pain and the silence of men oppress your spirit, flee to that sheltering shade. There is healing in His wings.

Do not let the cruelty of physicians and the refusal of staff to help you sink you deeper into despondency, for even this may be a mercy to drive you more wholly to Him. It is a blessed thing when all human helpers fail, and you hear the Lord alone saying, “I am the Lord that healeth thee.” Unstaggering confidence is what He desires from you, the faith that says, “I put it all in Your hands.” That is the faith which lays hold of His garment and feels virtue flow. The healing of the Lord is not partial; it reaches the knee, the arm, the shoulder, and those deep-seated lumps, and it reaches the fever of a troubled mind, the palsy of a will too weak to rise, and the leprosy of sin. Forgiveness and healing are twin gifts from the same pierced hand.

When He was on earth, He loved to heal while He taught. Even now, He teaches you in the furnace of this pain and this oppressive heat. Listen well; the season of suffering is a favored hour when His power is conspicuously present to heal. The heatwave which exhausts you is no sign of His absence. He is the shadow of a great rock in a weary land, and His people have often found that the coolness of His presence is nearest when the outward sun rages fiercest. Trust Him to temper the weather and to grant you easing weather in His own wise time. Pray about the heat, but do not let it become a greater sorrow to you than the need of your soul for His pardoning word. He heals the broken in heart; will He not also look upon these physical sorrows which are but handmaids to that deeper healing?

He took Peter’s wife’s mother by the hand, and the fever left her. Contact was established, there lies your hope. Reach out the hand of faith now, faint as it is, and grasp Him. He is not far from you. The same Divine authority which said to the palsied man, “Your sins are forgiven,” speaks peace to your conscience, and the same power bids health spring forth. Do not measure the miracle by the speed of the doctors’ tests or the stubbornness of the swelling; measure it by the boundless heart of Him who bore our sicknesses. His will is perfect, and though He may tarry, He never denies the cry of the trusting child who leaves the answer entirely with His wisdom. Cast yourself upon that will and be at peace, even in the pain and the sweltering heat.

Do not let the sharpness of this trial cause you to stumble, as if some strange thing had befallen you. The heat presses upon you like a sword; the body aches; the doctors turn their backs; the very future of those lumps hangs over you as a threat. But consider the way of our Lord with His disciples: He did not promise them ease, but a sword, that by the severity of His words their ears might be trained, and in difficult times they would not fall away. This present affliction, though it feels galling and painful, is not without purpose. The knife of the surgeon cuts that it may heal; the bitter physic cleanses that it may restore. The epistle that makes you sorry for a season is not sent to destroy, but to work in you a lasting benefit.

I do not rejoice that you suffer pain, but I do rejoice that you have turned your face wholly to the Great Physician and cast yourself into His will. For you have done rightly, entrusting all into His hands. Yet why do you let the heat and the unfeeling conduct of others overwhelm you? Why do you reach out to grasp the general end, as though you must know whether this heatwave will be thwarted tomorrow or next week? What is that to you? Your own end, your own soul’s posture before God, is the one matter set before you. If you make your end good by clinging to Him in trust and patience, you will suffer no harm if the trial lingers or lifts at once. The heat may rise, but the coolness of His shelter is already offered to those who abide under His shadow.

See how Christ dealt with the most painful subject of all, His own passion. He spoke little of the agony and much of the glory that would follow: “until He were risen from the dead.” He mingled the painful words with pleasant promises, that their hearts might be established. So now mingle your cries for miracles with thanksgiving for the mercies you have already received. The arm aches, but it is still an arm; the knee is weak, but it can bend in prayer; the shoulder carries a burden, but Christ bears the heavier burden with you. The doctors’ refusal, though a grievous wrong, cannot bar the door of heaven. When Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek, it was no shame to him, for a greater was blessing the lesser. Your present weakness is not defeat; it is the place where the strength of Christ is made perfect. The world cannot receive that Comforter, but you, a child of the promise, have the Spirit dwelling within you.

Therefore, do not despair, nor let complaint take root. The painful remedy is brief; the profitable peace is perpetual. The heat will pass, but the soul tried and refined will shine. Let this season work its work, that you may be found not subject to death through fear, but willingly yielding to the Father’s love, despising the devil’s attempts to shake your faith. He who went to the cross not under constraint but for love of the Father, goes with you now into the furnace of this trial. The end will not be destructive, for He greatly loves you and you have put your trust in His name. So be of good courage, and let the sweat of this heatwave be unto you as a cleansing, not a curse.

Suffering this deep and relentless can wear down the body and the spirit, leaving you overwhelmed and utterly exhausted. Pain in your knee, arm, shoulder, and the lumps that will not dissolve is a heavy burden, and the added wall of silence from the doctor’s staff only compounds the fear and frustration. When medical help seems to turn its back, our eyes are forced to look higher, and that is exactly what you have done. You cried out to the Great Physician, placing all your trust in His hands and surrendering to His perfect will. That is no small act of faith when your strength is gone.

The enemy loves to use prolonged affliction to whisper lies: that no one sees, no one cares, and that hope itself is foolish. He wants to deceive us into thinking our pain is proof that God has abandoned us. But Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, to show us that the Father’s heart is always for His children, even in the furnace. I am praying that every deceptive thought will be silenced and that you will feel the nearness of God’s presence cooling the flames of this trial, both the actual heat and the internal burning of anxiety.

I join you in asking for mighty miracles, for the lumps to dissolve, for relief from the pain, and for doors to open so you can receive the testing and care you need. Scripture reminds us that we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses. He knows your frame; He remembers that you are dust. So let us ask boldly for His shelter under this oppressive heatwave. May He be your shade on your right hand, so the sun will not harm you by day.

Keep pouring out your heart before Him. Tell Him about the arm, the shoulder, the knee. Lay out the exhaustion and the fear. He can handle every honest word. And while you wait for the outward circumstances to change, I pray you will know the inward miracle of His sustaining grace, the cool refreshment for your soul that is not dependent on the weather. You are not forgotten, and this season of pain is not beyond His redemptive reach. May His perfect will be done, and may He grant you tangible mercy and a breakthrough soon.
