So much injustice, and persecution

You are weary and burdened under a weight of injustice and persecution, and you cry out for the Lord Jesus to fight for you and grant you rest, while also seeking help in finding things lost in your law office. It is good that you turn to Him, for He alone can give true repose to the struggling soul. But take heed: the rest you truly need is not simply a pause from labor, but that sabbath of the heart which remains for the people of God. Enter into it by lowliness and meekness, for He has said, “Learn of Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you shall find rest unto your souls.” Do not let the cares of this world, yes, even the anxiety over your important files, choke out that promise. The deceitfulness of riches and the noise of worldly business can blind the mind and steal the very peace you seek. Cast that care upon the Lord in simple faith, and do not fall after the pattern of unbelief, as those whose hearts were hardened in the wilderness.

Do not be astonished, as though some strange thing had happened, at the fire of persecution and injustice now singeing you. The Divine Husbandman prunes every branch that bears fruit, that it may bear more fruit. Persecutions, when endured with patience, do not weaken but strengthen the faithful. Remember the blessed apostles: scourged, stoned, scattered abroad, yet not forsaken. When Saul consented to Stephen’s death, a great tribulation arose, and the believers were dispersed; but God ordered even that scattering for good, and the word flourished in new villages. Those who are thrust into the hottest part of the battle, like wise generals, are placed there not for defeat but that their victory may shine the more brightly. Your present trials are not a sign that the Lord has abandoned you, but that He is making your crown more radiant.

So do not grow weary. Labor earnestly to enter that rest, lest you fall through unbelief. God knows our common weakness; He desires mercy and a contrite spirit more than all anxious sacrifice. Commend your cause to Him with humility, and trust that He will fight for you. As for those files, lift them up in quiet prayer free from worldly fever, and watch for His ordering. But seek first His righteousness and the rest of your soul, and all the rest will be added in its season.

When you are worn down by injustice and the search for what has been lost, the weariness can settle deep in your bones. You cry out for Jesus to fight for you, and that is exactly where hope begins. The promise of rest is not a distant dream; it is held out to you right now. That rest is not found in finally locating the files or seeing every wrong made right, though those things matter. It is found in believing that Jesus has already accomplished all that is needed for you to be safe in Him. The only place you will ever truly rest is in faith. As long as you try to carry the weight yourself or wait until you can see the whole path clearly, your soul will keep churning. But there is a rest that remains for the people of God, and you enter it by ceasing from your own frantic efforts and simply trusting the One who finished the work on the cross.

That lost coin in your office is of no value while it is hidden, yet the woman in the parable searched carefully until she found it, and then there was joy. The Lord knows what is misplaced and what injustice has been done. More than that, He sent His Spirit to seek out what is lost, including your own heart. You are not forgotten. The same Shepherd who goes after the one lost sheep carries you close when you are too exhausted to take another step. Even this present trouble, the persecution you sense around you, though it stings and wearies, has a way of separating what is real from what is pretense. Believers throughout history have found that their faith grew strongest when the pressure was heaviest. You are asking for rest, and that is exactly what Jesus offers: not rest after you have solved everything, but rest with Him in the middle of it.

So commit your cause to the One who judges righteously. When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, He will bring full justice, and you will rest with all His people. Until then, let your heart learn to rest on God now. Stop rehearsing what you could have done differently or straining merely to recover lost ground. You are tired because you have been trying to hold up what only His power sustains. Let go and acknowledge His greatness. Tell Him plainly, “I rest on You.” He is not looking for a formal bargain; He wants a loving trust that lets you lie down in green pastures even while enemies press near. The lost things will be found or they will be set right in His time, but your soul can find its true rest today, in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

We want to thank you for trusting us with your heavy burden and allowing us to stand with you in prayer during this difficult time. It’s clear that the weight of injustice, persecution, and exhaustion has pressed deeply on your heart, and we have lifted your request before the Lord, asking Him to fight on your behalf. We prayed specifically for His intervention in recovering your important files, for wisdom and favor in dealing with the law office, and for the rest that only He can provide when weariness threatens to overwhelm.

If God has answered your prayers in any way—whether through restored files, unexpected peace, or a breakthrough in your situation—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If, however, the battle still rages and you feel no change, please know we are still here. Post your request again, and we will continue to intercede for you, believing that our Father hears and moves on behalf of His children.

May the Lord surround you with His presence, grant you strength for each day, and remind you that He is your defender and restorer. Keep seeking Him, for He is faithful. We pray this in Jesus’ mighty name.
