So MANY of you on here are NOT READY unto the day of the Lord! Truly this is the last generation where MANY will fall away from the faith. Oh well, I'm getting ready, and so are the chosen, few, elect. If the MANY on here want to do other things other do the most important thing which is being ready unto the day of the Lord, that is on you. As far as I am concerned # 1 for me is being ready unto the day of the Lord just like the five wise virgins who had their lamps burning brightly, and oil in their vessels. In Jesus' name! Amen!

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. We hear your urgency and share your deep concern for readiness in these last days. The Word of God warns us clearly about the times we live in. Jesus Himself said, "But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don’t expect it, the Son of Man will come" (Matthew 24:43-44 WEB). The parable of the ten virgins also reminds us that wisdom lies in being prepared, with our lamps filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit, ready to meet the Bridegroom at any moment (Matthew 25:1-13 WEB).

Yet, while we must be vigilant, we must also be careful not to fall into a spirit of fear or judgment toward our brothers and sisters in Christ. The Apostle Paul wrote, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). It is not our place to declare who is "chosen" or who is not, God alone knows the hearts of His people. Instead, we are called to encourage one another, to build each other up in love, and to spur one another on toward holiness and readiness. "And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:24-25 WEB).

We must also guard our hearts against pride or a sense of superiority. Jesus warned against this very thing in the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector: "For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted" (Luke 18:14 WEB). Our readiness is not about comparing ourselves to others but about examining our own hearts before the Lord. Are we walking in repentance? Are we abiding in Christ daily? Are we filled with the Holy Spirit, bearing the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB)?

Let us also remember that readiness is not just about avoiding sin or being "good enough." It is about a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Without Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5 WEB). If anyone reading this has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9 WEB).

Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that long to be ready for the day of Your return. Lord, we confess that apart from You, we can do nothing. We ask for Your forgiveness for the times we have walked in pride, judgment, or fear. Fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that we may be vessels of Your love, power, and self-control. Help us to encourage one another in the faith, to build each other up, and to provoke one another to love and good works. Lord, we pray for those who may not yet know You. Soften their hearts, open their eyes to the truth of Your Word, and draw them to Yourself. May they come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ and be ready for that glorious day when He returns.

Father, we also pray for discernment in these last days. Help us to recognize the signs of the times and to live in a way that honors You. Guard our hearts against deception, and keep us rooted in Your Word. May we be like the wise virgins, with our lamps burning brightly, filled with the oil of Your Spirit, ready to meet You at any moment.

Lord, we ask that You would unite Your Church in love and purpose. May we be a light in this dark world, pointing others to Jesus. And may we always remember that our readiness is not about perfection but about a heart that seeks You above all else.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

To those reading this, we encourage you to examine your heart before the Lord. Are you ready? If not, today is the day to surrender fully to Jesus. Spend time in His Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers. Walk in repentance and allow the Holy Spirit to transform you from the inside out. And remember, it is not about being "good enough", it is about being in Christ, who is our righteousness. "But of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption" (1 Corinthians 1:30 WEB). Stay vigilant, stay in love, and stay ready. We hear your heart in this, it’s clear you carry a heavy burden, seeing so many drift while you’re earnestly tending your own readiness. That kind of watchfulness takes real devotion, and it can feel lonely. It’s not always easy to keep oil in your lamp when the surrounding culture seems so unconcerned, and we appreciate your honesty in naming what you see.

One thing that might help right now is to shift your focus from the frustration of what others are doing to the quiet work of intercession. You’ve positioned yourself among the wise virgins, ready and waiting. That’s a gift. But the Lord’s heart always reaches toward the ones who still slumber, and He invites us to do the same, not by loading more warnings onto them, but by lifting them up in private prayer. You could take the same urgency you feel and turn it into daily, specific prayers for a handful of people you know who seem spiritually asleep. Pray for their awakening, not with exasperation, but with hope. That kind of hidden faithfulness often renews our own peace and keeps our lamps burning without bitterness.

We also want to gently remind you that our readiness isn’t just about personal vigilance; it’s anchored in Christ’s finished work. He holds us. We can rest in that even as we watch and pray, so the weight of the world’s lack of readiness doesn’t crush our spirits.

We’ll pray now:

Father, thank You for this one’s deep desire to be ready for the day of the Lord. Sustain his or her watchfulness, and guard them from discouragement or a spirit of frustration. Fill their lamp afresh with the oil of Your Spirit, and turn their burden into faithful prayer for those who still sleep. Strengthen all of us to be found faithful on that day, not in our own strength, but in Christ’s. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The heart that boasts of its own readiness while looking down upon others knows not the humility of one who said, "I should not be afraid, but I think I should be ashamed," blushing for how little he had served his Lord. Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall, for the graves are ready for us, are we ready for the graves? That readiness comes not from comparing ourselves among ourselves, but from abiding in Christ, holding His truth, following His example, and making Him our dwelling place.

A man intoxicated with wine is lifted up and becomes lord of misrule, quarrelling over harmless words and asserting his own rule, but the Spirit of God works submissiveness of mind. Instead of wanting to be first, the truly spiritual man is satisfied to be last, if he can thus glorify God. Take heed that spiritual pride does not mimic that very drunkenness, making a show of readiness while the oil of grace runs low.

Strong faith is ever on the winning side, but little faith need not despise itself nor be despised, for no gulf divides Little Faith from Great Faith. Our Lord acknowledges the faith which we suspect to be little better than unbelief, and He hears the cry, "Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief." The best of men are but men at the best, and the strongest men are weak if God's mighty hand is for a while withdrawn.

Yet all things are ready! Ready to perish are you, but ready to forgive is He! Christ still cries out, "Come unto Me!" as He sees souls drifting on the wreckage that will soon go down. His call is not a common call that walks in at one door and out at the other, but an effectual "To-day I must abide at thy house." The Spirit unites with every ticking moment and cries, "To-day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts."

Be so engaged, day by day, in duty and devotion, that you will not be taken at unawares, but let that engagement be marked by love that covers a multitude of sins, not by the sound of a trumpet announcing your own readiness. So live from day to day that your Lord's coming would be timely, welcoming Him not with the pride of the Pharisee but with the brokenness of one who knows that the Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord.

You speak of being ready with the five wise virgins, but I urge you to consider carefully what the oil in their lamps truly represents. It is not merely a confession of faith or a feeling of election; it is lovingkindness, mercy, and alms poured out upon the poor. The virgins who were shut out had some oil, for their lamps had been burning, yet it was not enough; they lacked abundant mercy. So even those who think they stand secure may find the door closed if their store of compassion is small. The cry at midnight will come when we least expect it, and then no one can borrow oil from another, each must have his own lamp full, his own life rich in deeds of love.

Do not place yourself too quickly among the elect while looking down on others. The Lord knows those who are His, but He also warns that many will say, “Lord, Lord,” and hear in reply, “I know you not, depart from me, you workers of iniquity.” Faith unsupported by a life of mercy is a lamp without oil. The five wise virgins were approved, yet even they could not share their oil; each had only what she had stored by her own toil. So I counsel you: let your readiness show itself not in words of condemnation toward your neighbor, but in persistent, generous care for Christ in the hungry, the thirsty, the naked. That is the oil which will never fail.

Weep for your own sins, and let that grief quench any spark of pride. The present time is for mourning and preparation, not for boasting. Gather oil now while it is still day, lest your lamp go out before the Bridegroom arrives. Then, with a bright torch and a humble heart, you may enter the wedding feast, not by claiming a place among the few, but by the mercy you have shown to the least.

Your urgency about the day of the Lord is well placed. Scripture repeatedly presses that day upon us as a day of darkness and gloominess, a day when the Lord will judge the earth and pour out His fierce anger on iniquity. Zephaniah cried out that it is near and hastens greatly. Jesus Himself warned that we do not know the day or the hour when the Son of Man is coming, yet He calls us to watch and be ready. The longing to be numbered among the wise virgins with oil in their vessels is exactly where our hearts ought to be.

But readiness is not a one-time declaration. The parable of the ten virgins shows that all had lamps, all went out to meet the bridegroom, but only the wise brought a supply of oil. That oil, so often symbolic of the Holy Spirit’s presence and work, reminds us that genuine readiness is not about outward profession but about an ongoing, living dependence on God. A lamp that once burned brightly will gutter out if the supply is not sustained. So being ready means walking daily in the Spirit, seeking His fullness, and not letting the cares of this life or the spiritual drowsiness of this age weigh us down.

There is a sobering side to this: many will say “Lord, Lord” on that day and find themselves outside, just like the foolish virgins. The Lord knows those who are His. But rather than focusing on the many who may be falling away, the call to each of us is to seek the Lord while He may be found. Before the decree brings forth and the day of His anger comes, the invitation stands: seek righteousness, seek meekness. The posture of the elect is not one of smug assurance but of trembling gratitude and watchful prayer.

The day of the Lord is indeed a day of trouble and distress, but beyond the judgment lies the glorious reign of Jesus Christ. His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, and the whole earth will be filled with His glory. The righteous will shine forth as the sun in that kingdom. So let the certainty of His coming fill you with joyful anticipation, not with frustration toward others. Sound the alarm, yes, but do it with the humility of one who knows you yourself are kept only by His faithful hand.

Every morning we can sing of His faithfulness: “Lord, You have watched over me.” He is the One who anoints with fresh oil and exalts the horn of those who trust in Him, not because they are strong but because He is gracious. Keep your lamp trimmed and your vessel full, and encourage others to do the same, not from a distance but shoulder to shoulder, knowing that we all must give account. The Bridegroom is coming. May that hope purify our hearts and fill our mouths with a joyful noise rather than a bitter cry.
