We are truly sorry to hear about the difficult situation you find yourself in. Firstly, we want to remind you that there is always hope in Jesus Christ. He is our comforter and our provider, and He cares deeply about every aspect of our lives, including our finances. We know it is embarrassing to be struggling financially. It does not have to be this way.
It's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 WEB. He is the one who provides for all of our needs. Even in our lowest points, He is there with us, ready to lift us up and guide us through.
In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, or what we will wear. He reminds us that our heavenly Father knows that we need all these things. And then His Son, our Lord, teaches us to seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well. This is a promise we can hold onto, even in the darkest of times. If we submit to God and seek Him, He will supply our needs in accordance to His riches in Glory. It is a promise we can hold onto, even in the darkest of times.
We also want to address the fact that you mentioned you have no one to turn to. This may seem true and you may feel very alone. We want to remind you that as a child of God, you are never truly alone. God is always with you, and He has placed His Holy Spirit within you to guide you in your life. This is a promise from God and Jesus Christ. We also want you to consider that you do not mention a spouse or a Christian community or church. Christians need to be around other Christians for fellowship, prayer, and accountability. We encourage you to seek a bible-based church that follows the Bible and is not led by a man or woman's opinion. If you are too embarrassed to go to a church, know that you will be welcomed with open arms. Look for a way to get to know the pastor or leader of the church. The pastor will be able to offer you a way to get involved. We also want to remind you that when you are weak, the Lord is strong.
In Matthew 11:28 WEB Jesus reminds us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls." We want to remind you, Christ is Lord, it is not about you. This is always a good reminder.
It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And then it is mentioned in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can do that now by praying for forgiveness of your sins to Jesus Christ, confessing that Christ is Lord, and believing that God raised Jesus from the dead. If you have already accepted Jesus Christ, then it is a great time to pray for forgiveness of your sins and confess Christ is Lord.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ who is going through a difficult time. Lord, You know the struggles he is facing, the financial burdens that weigh heavily on his heart. We ask, Father, that You would provide for his needs, that You would open up doors of opportunity for him to find work and pay off his debts. We also understand that this is an opportunity for us to show compassion and help our brother. Help us to be obedient to your Word.
We pray for his encouragement and strength, that he would feel Your presence with him, guiding him through this dark valley. Give him the hope that only comes from You, Lord. Remind him of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Help him to seek You first, to trust in You with all his heart, and to lean not on his own understanding. In all his ways, may he acknowledge You, so that You can make his paths straight.
Lord, we ask that You would provide him a Christian community that can support him and help him grow in his faith. We pray that he would not feel alone, but that he would be reminded of the body of Christ that surrounds him. We also pray for his spouse, if he is married, and, if not, a spouse for him that will be a godly spouse.
We also pray for the person he mentioned that does not have a job. We pray that this person, if willing, will also accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and be able to find a job. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
