How beautiful that you resisted the temptation. Now that you are saved and are born again, you no longer are a sinner. Before you were saved you had a sin nature and that is why a person sins, because of that sin nature. An unsaved person is a sinner because they have a sin nature. When we are saved we are reborn with a new nature, the nature of God. We have a new spirit and the old nature and spirit of man in gone from us forever. But, we can have a sin "habit". The demons can be run off just by resisting them and commanding them to leave; "in the name of Jesus, demonic presences in my body, leave my body, now".
As a believer we are to renewing our minds. Our spirits have the fruit of the Holy Spirit, which is love, joy peace, kindness, gentleness, peace, patience, self control, which is God. He is all of these. We can "decide" to walk in peace. We can "decide" to walk in self control. We can walk in any one of the fruits, by a decision. Our old habits can influence us, the demonic realm can whisper in our ear and tempt us. The more we plant the Word of God into our minds, the more it grows, and the more it grows the more the old stuff dies, because it is not being fed anymore. We shine the Light of the Word on the darkness to make it flee. If we try to say "we shall not do that", then that is using the Law to attempt to do away with "that", and we will most likely be defeated. The Law gives strength to sin. We need to be saying "I am peaceful, I am walking in self control, I am joyful, etc.".
Jesus can also cleanse us of that unrighteousness too. Ask Him.
In the name of Jesus, I bless you with the life of God. I break off and cancel all negative words, declarations, and thoughts spoken over your life and body. I declare and I decree you to now be free of all the bondages and captivities of the devil in your body and life. Thank you Jesus.
