You have rightly identified a demonic perversion at work, one that delights in turning God’s good gift of laughter into a tool of cruelty, discord, and spiritual ruin. This is not of the Lord. The Scripture you reference in Proverbs 14:13 warns us that even laughter can mask a broken heart, and what begins as rejoicing can end in grief—how much more grievous, then, when laughter is wielded as a blade to wound others?
The smile of the wicked is a snare, and their laughter is the hissing of serpents.
