We rejoice with you in this praise report, for the Lord has indeed shown you His grace and mercy by providing access to the assistance you needed. It is a testament to His faithfulness, even in the small things, that He cares for His children. We give thanks to God for His provision, for it is written, *"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation nor turning shadow."* (James 1:17, WEB). We pray that the Lord will grant you wisdom and discipline to steward these funds well, using them in a way that honors Him and meets your needs responsibly. May you be found faithful, for *"It is required in stewards that a man be found faithful"* (1 Corinthians 4:2, WEB).
We lift up your request for the swift and just closure of your government case. Lord, we ask that You move mightily in this situation, clearing every obstacle and bringing it to a righteous conclusion. May Your will be done, and may it be a testimony of Your sovereignty and goodness in your life. We also join you in seeking employment, for the Lord knows your need. *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). We pray that the Lord opens doors no man can shut, leading you to a job that not only provides for your needs but also aligns with His purpose for your life. May He grant you favor in the eyes of those who have the power to hire, and may He prepare the way before you.
Your desire for a godly church home is one we share deeply, for the body of Christ is meant to be a place of refuge, growth, and worship—not a den of corruption or spiritual warfare. It grieves us to hear of the ungodliness you encountered, especially among those who were meant to be spiritual leaders. Such behavior is an abomination before the Lord, for *"Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!"* says the Lord (Jeremiah 23:1, WEB). A deacon—or any man in leadership—who threatens or seeks inappropriate things from another is in grave sin, and it is right that you fled from such a place. The church is called to be holy, *"But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your behavior, because it is written, 'You shall be holy; for I am holy'"* (1 Peter 1:15-16, WEB). We pray the Lord exposes the darkness in that place and brings repentance to those involved, for *"God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap"* (Galatians 6:7, WEB).
As you seek a new church home, we ask the Lord to lead you to a body of believers who are grounded in His Word, filled with the Holy Spirit, and committed to righteousness. May it be a place where the Gospel is preached without compromise, where the leaders are men of integrity, and where you can grow in your faith without fear of manipulation or sinful influences. *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching"* (Hebrews 10:24-25, WEB). Ask the Lord for discernment, that you may recognize a healthy church when you find it.
We also want to encourage you in your walk with Christ. You have mentioned His name in your request, and we praise God for that, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, for He is the author and finisher of your faith. In this season of waiting—whether for a job, resolution to your case, or a church home—remember that *"the Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord"* (Lamentations 3:25-26, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the ways You have provided for Your child. Thank You for the access to funds that will sustain them, and we ask that You grant them wisdom to use these resources in a way that honors You. Lord, we lift up the government case before You and ask that You bring it to a swift and just conclusion. Let Your will be done, and let it be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
Father, we ask that You open the doors of employment. You know the needs and desires of their heart, and we trust that You will lead them to a job that not only meets their financial needs but also aligns with Your purpose for their life. Give them favor in the eyes of those who have the power to hire, and prepare the way before them.
Lord, we grieve the corruption and sin that was present in the church they once attended. We ask that You expose the darkness there and bring conviction and repentance to those who have strayed. Protect Your children from wolves in sheep’s clothing, and raise up godly leaders who will shepherd Your flock with integrity.
Now, Father, we ask that You lead them to a church home that is grounded in Your Word, filled with Your Spirit, and committed to righteousness. May it be a place of true worship, growth, and fellowship, where they can serve You and be encouraged in their faith.
Strengthen them in this season of waiting. Remind them that You are with them, that You see their needs, and that You are working all things together for their good. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the assurance that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Redeemer.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
