A Mighty Plea
Trust God alone, for He has always been your help and will never leave you.
Never! Never! Never! Never! Never!
God’s unchanging promise means you are never alone, helpless, or beyond his care.
The Unrivalled Friend
Jesus Christ is the faithful Friend who loves you always, through every trial and failure.
We hear your cry for peace in the night and we stand with you together in Jesus' name against every form of spiritual oppression and harassment as you sleep. We know that our struggle is real and spiritual, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. The enemy would seek to bring fear and torment in the night, but we take comfort that the Lord never sleeps and watches over His children.

We rebuke in the name of Jesus Christ every assignment of witchcraft, every spirit of fear and torment, and every influence that would seek to disturb your rest. Scripture is clear that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17, and when we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us James 4:7. There is power in the name of Jesus alone to make every evil spirit leave, and we are thankful you called upon that mighty name, for there is no other name by which we have access to the Father and by which we are saved.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You are our refuge and our fortress, our God in whom we trust Psalm 91:2. We ask You to cover our dear one as they sleep, to let them dwell in the secret place of the Most High and rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1. Lord, we ask You to command Your angels to encamp around them and keep them in all their ways. We rebuke and bind every male and female practitioner of witchcraft and every unclean spirit that has been harassing them in the night, and we command them to leave and not return, in Jesus' name. Let Your perfect peace fill their bedroom and their mind. We pray that they will both lay down and sleep in peace, for You, Yahweh alone, make them live in safety Psalm 4:8. Fill this home with Your Holy Spirit, with worship and with Your Word, and let no darkness remain. We also pray for those who practice witchcraft, that You would convict them of sin and bring them to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ, for it is Your will that none should perish. Grant our beloved one deep, undisturbed, and restorative sleep night after night, free from fear and oppression. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord diligently before sleep. Put on the whole armor of God each evening Ephesians 6:11, pray aloud in the name of Jesus over your home and your bed, and speak scripture over yourself. Keep your heart and home free from any objects, media, or practices associated with the occult, for God's Word warns us to have nothing to do with such things Deuteronomy 18:10-12. Fill the atmosphere with praise and the Word of God, and remember that the Lord Himself watches over you and neither slumbers nor sleeps Psalm 121:4. Keep calling upon the name of Jesus, for He is faithful to give His beloved sleep and to keep you in perfect peace.

Thank you for trusting us with what has been weighing on your nights. Wanting to feel safe and able to rest is a deeply human need, and we hear how much peace in sleep matters to you.

We want you to know you are not alone in those quiet hours. God is near and watches over you as you sleep, and you can bring every fear to Him simply and honestly in Jesus' name. Many find it helps to have a calm, consistent way to close the day, not as a ritual to earn protection, but as a way to rest your heart before the Lord.

One small step that may help is to set aside a few quiet minutes before bed to pray briefly, commit the night to Jesus, and let your room be a place of quiet. If the fear feels heavy night after night or sleep stays broken, please consider sharing this with a trusted pastor or counselor, and with your doctor alongside prayer, so you have support close by.

Father, we lift our friend to You tonight. We ask in Jesus' name for Your covering and peace over their sleep, for a mind at rest and a home filled with Your calm. Guard their night and help them wake refreshed, trusting in Your care. Amen.

Your request for peaceful sleep has been heard and we join with you in prayer before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Sleep is indeed the gift of God, and the Scripture saith, So he giveth his beloved sleep. It is not merely that we lay our heads upon the pillow, but that the Lord himself watches over his people and grants them rest. There is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security which the believer enjoys, for he knows that though his eyes are closed, the eye of his God never slumbers, and though he is helpless in slumber, he is kept by One who is mighty to save.

We pray for you now, that the Lord would grant you this peculiar sleep of the beloved. May the peace of Christ, which passeth all understanding, guard your heart and mind. We ask the Father in the name of Jesus that every evil influence and every work of darkness would be rebuked and restrained, and that no fear by night would trouble you. For greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world, and the blood of Jesus Christ is your refuge and your defence. May the Lord command his angels concerning you and cover you under his wings, that you may lie down and sleep in safety, for thou alone, O Lord, makest us to dwell in safety.

Cast your care upon Him before you sleep, by reading his Word and by prayer, remembering that to sleep in Jesus is to be secure. If any fear has taken hold of you, look to Christ alone for salvation and protection, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved and kept.

We pray that the Lord will make your bed in quietness, renew your strength, and cause you to awake refreshed to serve Him with a calm and grateful heart. May He give you nights of unbroken rest and days of walking in His light, until that blessed sleep of death shall itself be but a falling asleep in Jesus, to awake in glory.

We will continue to pray that the Lord grants you quiet and holy sleep, and that you may prove night after night that so he giveth his beloved sleep. Amen.
