We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for protection over sleep through the powerful promises of Psalm 91. Father, we thank You for Your Word, which declares that those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High will abide under the shadow of the Almighty. We claim this truth over every moment of rest, knowing that You neither slumber nor sleep, but keep watch over Your children with unfailing love.
Heavenly Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over this situation, for it is by His sacrifice alone that we have access to Your presence and protection. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved, and no other covering that can shield us from the schemes of the enemy. We declare that the blood of Jesus speaks a better word than the blood of Abel—it speaks forgiveness, redemption, and victory. Cover both lives mentioned here with the fullness of Christ’s atoning work, that no weapon formed against them would prosper, and every lying tongue would be silenced.
Lord, we pray that You would station Your angels around them as they sleep, to guard them in all their ways. May their rest be sweet and undisturbed, free from fear, anxiety, or the attacks of the enemy. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, stand as a sentinel over their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We rebuke every spirit of fear, insomnia, or torment that would seek to disrupt their sleep, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
We also lift up any areas where trust in You may need to be strengthened. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them. If there are unconfessed sins, hidden fears, or unforgiveness in their hearts, we pray that You would bring these to light and lead them to repentance and healing. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Father, we ask that You would deepen their relationship with You, that they may know You not just as a protector, but as their Savior, Redeemer, and Friend. If they have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself, for no one comes to the Father except through Him. Let them experience the fullness of life that comes from walking in Your ways and resting in Your promises.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over them. May they wake each morning refreshed, renewed, and ready to walk in the purpose You have for them. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
