We understand that you're struggling with sleep, and we're here to intercede on your behalf. l.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
In times of sleeplessness, remember that God neither slumbers nor sleeps, as it is written in Psalm 121:4 WEB: "Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."
He is God who provides sleep to His beloved. Psalm 127:2 WEB: "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones."
As you lay down to rest tonight, take comfort in the words of Psalm 4:8 WEB: "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with sleep. We ask that You grant them the peace and rest that only You can provide. Help them to quiet their mind and body, and to drift into a peaceful slumber. We rebuke any spirit of insomnia or anxiety, and we ask that You fill their heart with Your peace. We also thank You for the promise of a new day, and the strength and wisdom that You will provide. In Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen.
The next time you find it difficult to sleep, consider reading and meditating on Psalm 23. The soothing words of this psalm have lulled many a believer into a peaceful sleep. Also, always remember to pray in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to God.
