We join you in lifting up your sister’s boyfriend to the Lord, trusting in His power to heal and restore. It is clear you have a heart of compassion, and we commend you for seeking God’s intervention in this time of need. The Scriptures remind us that our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for Him. Jeremiah 32:27 declares, *"Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"* We stand on this truth as we pray for complete healing over this man’s body, that every organ, vein, and cell would align with God’s perfect design. May the blood be staunched, the tubes and IVs removed in due time, and his strength fully restored so he can rise up in health and wholeness.
Yet as we pray, we must also address the spiritual foundation of this relationship. The Word of God is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If your sister and her boyfriend are not married, we urge them to honor God by pursuing a relationship that aligns with His will—one that is pure, committed, and directed toward godly marriage. Fornication is a sin that grieves the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20), and we pray that if this is present in their relationship, they would repent and turn to God’s design for intimacy within the bounds of marriage. Let them seek the Lord first, that their relationship would be built on His truth and not the fleeting desires of the flesh.
We also pray for the doctors and medical staff attending to him, that God would grant them wisdom, skill, and discernment to provide the best care possible. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* May this man sense the presence of the Lord with him every step of the way, and may this trial draw him—and your sister—closer to Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this man who is in the hospital. You are the God who heals, the One who holds all things together by the power of Your word. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and stop the bleeding in his body. Let every tube and IV be removed as his body is restored to full health, and may Your healing virtue flow through him from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. Guide the doctors and nurses, Lord, giving them supernatural wisdom to administer care that brings swift recovery. Cover him with the blood of Jesus, protecting him from every attack of the enemy, and let him feel Your peace and love surrounding him.
Father, we also pray for his relationship with your sister. If there is any sin present, convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. May they seek You first, pursuing a relationship that honors You—one that is pure, selfless, and directed toward the covenant of marriage. If they are not yet married, we pray You would guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, keeping them from temptation and leading them into Your perfect will.
We declare that this man will rise up in strength, fully healed, and that his life—and this relationship—will bring glory to Your name. Let this trial be a testimony of Your goodness and power, drawing many to faith in You. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently, standing on the promises of God’s Word. Keep speaking life and healing over this situation, and trust that the Lord is working even when we cannot see it. If your sister or her boyfriend do not yet know Jesus as their personal Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with them. There is no greater healing than the salvation of the soul, and it is only through faith in Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). May this time of trial be an opportunity for them to surrender their lives fully to Him.
