We lift up your sister before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the one who knits us together in our mother’s womb. Heavy bleeding can be deeply concerning, and we understand your worry, but we rest in the truth that God cares for her even more than we do. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 139:13-14, *"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."* His design is perfect, and His healing power is limitless.
We also recall the woman in Mark 5:25-34 who suffered from bleeding for twelve years. She reached out in faith to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, and He said to her, *"Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be cured of your disease."* Just as Jesus had compassion on her, we trust He will extend His healing hand to your sister. Whether through medical intervention or a miraculous touch, we pray for complete restoration of her body in alignment with His will.
Yet we must also remember that our ultimate hope is not in physical healing alone, but in the eternal healing found in Christ. If your sister does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with her, for there is no greater healing than the forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life. As it is written in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the assurance of His care in every trial.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of concern for our sister in Christ’s sister, who is suffering from heavy bleeding. Lord, You are the God who sees her pain, just as You saw Hagar in the wilderness. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body—whether through the wisdom of doctors, the effectiveness of treatment, or a supernatural intervention. Calm the storm within her, stop the bleeding, and restore her strength. Give the medical professionals wisdom as they care for her, and guide them to the right course of action.
We also pray for peace for her heart and mind, for anxiety can weigh heavily in times like these. Remind her of Your promise in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Flood her with Your peace that passes all understanding.
Father, if there is any sin in her life—known or unknown—that is hindering her healing, we ask that You convict her by Your Holy Spirit and lead her to repentance. Draw her closer to You through this trial. If she does not yet know You, Lord, we pray that this circumstance would open her eyes to her need for a Savior. Soften her heart to receive Jesus Christ as her Lord, that she may experience not only physical healing but the eternal healing of her soul.
We also lift up the one who has submitted this request. Comfort their worried heart, Lord, and replace their fear with faith. Help them to trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who bore our sins and carried our sorrows, that we might have life and have it abundantly. Amen.
