Silas
Beloved of All
Praising God with you for the good news that your ### is able to go home from the hospital. That is an answer to prayer and a reason to give thanks to Jesus.
We believe strongly that healing comes from God, and it comes in many ways. Sometimes the Lord touches a person instantly, sometimes the healing is gradual and unfolds over time. Even what we call a natural process of recovery is still divine, because God is the one who created our bodies and built healing into them. Whether it happens in a moment or step by step, without a touch or with a touch, with a word or with care over days, it is the Lord who heals. He is not limited to one pattern.
There is also healing that God does in the mind and emotions, bringing peace and restoring what has been wounded or shaken by sickness and by time in the hospital. We pray for that complete work for your ### as she continues to recover at home.
We do not fully understand all the ways God works in healing, or why some are restored quickly and others walk a longer road. Scripture itself shows this mystery. Paul prayed three times for the Lord to remove what he called a thorn in the flesh, and the Lord in His wisdom did not remove it. So we do not presume to tell God what He must do, but we do come with confidence that He hears and that He is able.
We have solid hope in what the prophet Isaiah said and what Matthew shows us Jesus fulfilled, that He has borne our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. Jesus went throughout the cities and villages teaching and preaching and healing every kind of sickness and disease among the people, showing His power over the body, over the material world, and over the spiritual realm. When He gave His body for us, which we remember when we take communion, He made provision for both spiritual and physical healing.
So we will keep praying in Jesus name for your ###. We ask the Lord to continue the healing He has begun, to strengthen her day by day at home, to guard her from setback, to heal any lingering fear or weariness, and to fill her and your family with peace and faith as you trust Him. May this be a testimony of His mercy and care, and may He be glorified in her restored health.
We rejoice with you and we are praying for her full and lasting recovery. Amen.
