Your love for your sister is evident in this prayer, and it is right to bring her before the Lord and ask for His hand over every step she takes. We join you in asking God to watch over her, to guide her, and to keep her from evil and from influences that would lead her away from what is good.

The desire you expressed for her to be covered by the blood of Jesus from head to feet is a beautiful way to ask for what Christ has already provided through His sacrifice. Through Him we have forgiveness, protection, and access to the Father, and we pray that she would walk in the reality of being His child, deeply loved and cared for, and that the Holy Spirit would be near to her, leading her and comforting her each day.

Temptation will come to her as it comes to all of us. It is not sin to be tempted, even Jesus was tempted, but temptation invites us to choose whether we will walk according to the flesh or according to the Spirit. Often it presents itself as a shortcut, a promise of immediate fulfillment if we step off God's path. The enemy solicits us toward evil, but God does not. God is faithful and will not allow her to be tempted beyond what she can bear, and with every temptation He will provide a way of escape so she can endure it. Pray for her that she will have wisdom to see that way and courage to take it, and patience to wait on the Lord rather than grasping for quick answers. God promises wisdom to anyone who asks Him with trust, and He gives generously. The one who endures temptation and remains faithful will receive the crown of life the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

We also join you in praying for her healing physically, spiritually, and mentally. Jesus showed His heart for healing throughout His ministry, teaching, preaching, and healing every kind of sickness and disease, and Matthew reminds us that He bore our infirmities and sicknesses as Isaiah foretold. Healing still comes from His hand, but not always in the same way. Sometimes it is immediate, sometimes it is gradual, sometimes it comes through the natural processes God Himself designed in our bodies, and sometimes the deepest healing He does is in the mind and heart, restoring what has been wounded. We do not always understand why healing comes in one way for one person and another way for another, as with Paul who prayed three times concerning his thorn and learned to trust God's purpose, but we can trust that every true healing is from God and that His will is wise and loving. So we ask the Lord to touch her whole person, body, mind, and spirit, and to make her know in a deeper way that she is His and that He desires what is best for her.

We pray that God would open her eyes to His goodness, give her a desire for what is right, and lead her into a healthy and joyful life in Him. May she grow in knowing how much she is loved as a child of God, and may she learn to seek His guidance daily and to choose His way over the way of the flesh.

Father, we lift this sister to You in the name of Jesus. Keep her from evil, guard her from temptation and from harmful influences, and give her wisdom for every decision. Let Your Holy Spirit dwell with her and guide her. Heal her where she is hurting in body, mind, and spirit, according to Your perfect will, and help her to know without doubt that she is loved, that she belongs to You, and that You are working for her good. Amen.
