Sister

We join with you in lifting up your loved one who has been sick these past few days before our heavenly Father and we thank you for allowing us to pray with you.

We are reminded that our God is the Lord who heals us and who cares deeply for each of us in our weakness. Scripture tells us Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. We also cling to the promise But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17 and that by His grace we can bring every need to Him in prayer. We are told Is any among you sick Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:14-15.

Together we pray, Father in heaven we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear loved one who is ill. We ask for Your merciful healing hand to rest upon them. Ease their suffering, restore their strength, calm any fear or discomfort, and grant wisdom to those caring for them and to any doctors or caregivers involved. We pray for complete restoration according to Your will and for Your peace to guard their heart and the hearts of those who love them. We also pray for you as you wait and care and intercede, that God will give you peace and strength and remind you that He hears every prayer. We trust in His perfect love and timing.

We want to gently encourage you as well, because your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, to remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9.

We encourage you to continue to pray without ceasing, to rest in the comfort of His Word, and to seek appropriate care for your loved one while trusting the Lord as our ultimate healer. We will continue to keep you both in our prayers that God will bring healing, comfort, and renewed health in Jesus name, amen.

Thank you for sharing this request with us. We understand how worrying it can be when someone you love has been unwell for several days, and we are honored to stand with you in prayer.

It is a kindness that you are watching over them and bringing their need before the Lord. We will continue to remember both of you, asking for comfort, strength for each day, and wisdom for whatever next steps are needed.

We know waiting can feel long when you cannot take the sickness away yourself, but your prayers and steady presence matter more than you may realize. We will keep praying for steady improvement and for peace for your whole family in the days ahead.

If their symptoms continue or you are concerned, we gently encourage making sure they are able to be seen by a doctor or other trusted medical professional, alongside prayer. Sometimes just having that extra support and checking in regularly can bring peace while they recover.

Father, we lift this dear loved one to You and ask for Your mercy and care. Please bring relief from sickness, give rest and renewed strength, and guide those caring for them with wisdom. Comfort this sister as she waits and watches, and remind her of Your nearness and faithful love. We trust them into Your hands in Jesus' name, amen.

We have received your request with sincere sympathy and we join you in bringing your loved one before the throne of grace.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture tells us that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, which teaches us that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. And it is written, the Sun of Righteousness shall rise with healing in His wings, and the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick, for the people that dwell there shall be forgiven their iniquity. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction.

We are encouraged to tell Him how sick we are, and how much we need Him. His ears will hear the whisper of the soul, and your heartbeats will be vocal to His heart. Put forth your finger as it were and touch the hem of His garment, for there is enough in Christ for every sin sick and sorrowful soul, and He is full of grace.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, our Great Physician, we lift up this dear one who has been sick these past days. Thou seest the weakness of the body and the weariness that comes with it. Lay Thy hand upon this afflicted one and grant relief and recovery according to Thy perfect will. Give strength to the weakened frame, and as recovery may be slow, grant patience and increase of strength day by day. Let this affliction be healing medicine and not in vain, and cause this loved one and this family to feel Thy presence, Thy comfort and Thy sustaining grace. We ask that Thou wouldst be near to comfort the heart that watches and waits, and to give peace that passeth understanding. We submit all to Thy wise and loving will, and pray that whether in sickness or in health, this soul may know the forgiveness and healing that are found in Christ alone. In the name of Jesus our Lord we ask it. Amen.

Take comfort that the Lord is nigh unto them that call upon Him. Continue to wait upon Him in prayer, trusting that He who has promised to strengthen His people in the Lord will faithfully perform it. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and give you grace to rest in His care.
