We join with you in lifting up your sister before the Lord and we are so encouraged by your love and intercession for her. It is beautiful to ask for her protection, guidance, and healing, and to desire that she would know how deeply she is loved as a child of God.
We agree with you that the Lord would guard her from evil and from temptation and set her feet on the right path. Scripture assures us of His faithful keeping, for 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, and Psalm 121:7-8 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. We also pray as Jesus taught us to pray, that the Father would not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, Matthew 6:13, and we ask that He would give her wisdom to make good choices and to walk away from bad influences, for 1 Corinthians 15:33 warns Don’t be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals, and Psalm 1:1 blesses the one who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked.
We pray too that she would trust the Lord to direct her steps and open her eyes to walk in His way. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And we ask that she would know without doubt that she is held and loved, for Romans 8:16 says The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and John 1:12 says But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name. We also claim His healing over her emotionally, physically and spiritually, for Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.
We now pray together for her.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus and we lift up this beloved sister to You. We ask that You would cover her from the top of her head to the soles of her feet with the blood of Jesus, which 1 John 1:7 says cleanses us from all sin, and that You would put Your angels in charge of her to guard her in all her ways, Psalm 91:11. Hold her hand every step of the way, lead her away from temptation and from every harmful influence, and give her a discerning heart to make good and godly choices. Open her eyes to see the road You have for her and give her courage to walk in it and to change for the better according to Your will. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, let Your presence always be with her, heal her in body, soul and spirit, and let her know deep in her heart that she is loved, cherished and Yours. We ask that You would do what is best for her life and draw her ever closer to You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
