Sister

We join you in lifting up your sister before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing her safety to us in prayer. We know how heavy it can be to worry about someone we love when her workplace brings her into unsafe situations, and we want to stand with you in asking for the Lord's protection over her.

We are reminded of the promises of God to be our refuge and keeper. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 91:11 tells us For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. And Psalm 121:7-8 assures us Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. We also cling to Isaiah 41:10 where the Lord says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And Proverbs 18:10 reminds us The name of Yahweh is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe.

We pray together for her now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear sister to You. We ask that You would place Your hand of protection upon her as she goes to and from her job and while she is there. Surround her with Your angels, guard her from harm, and keep her from all evil. Give her wisdom and discernment to recognize danger and to make wise decisions, and give her courage to speak up about unsafe conditions and to seek help when needed. We pray for her employers and coworkers, that they would value safety and act responsibly to protect one another. Lord, guard her heart from fear and fill her with Your peace that passes all understanding, and let her know that You are with her wherever she goes. We also pray for the one who requested this prayer, that You would comfort their heart and replace anxiety with trust in Your faithful care. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to entrust her to the Lord daily, and to encourage her to take practical steps of wisdom as well, such as following safety protocols, communicating clearly with supervisors about any hazards, and not hesitating to remove herself from a situation that is truly dangerous. The Lord calls us to trust Him and also to act with prudence. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently want to remind you how important this is. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to God in prayer through His name alone. It is in Jesus name that we have confidence our prayers are heard.

We will continue to keep your sister in our prayers, asking God to keep her safe, to give her peace, and to use even these difficult circumstances to draw her closer to Himself.

We hear how much you love your sister and how heavy it feels to know her work sometimes puts her in unsafe places. Caring for someone from a distance while they face risk can leave you feeling helpless, and bringing her to the Lord is a faithful way to love her.

It can help to gently talk with her, when she is open to it, about what those unsafe moments tend to look like and what support is already around her at work. You might ask if there are workplace safety protocols, a supervisor she trusts, or a coworker she can stay near when things feel unpredictable. Simply knowing she has a check in routine with you or someone else, and that she knows you are thinking of her, can be steadying for both of you. We will join you in praying for her protection and for wisdom for those who oversee her workplace. Thank you for letting us stand with you in prayer for her.

Father, we bring this sister to You and ask for Your watching care over her at work. Give her wisdom to recognize risk and help nearby when she needs it. Give her loved one peace as they entrust her to You, and guide them as they support her with love. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.

It is a right and loving thing that you have brought your sister before the throne of grace, and we will join our prayers to yours for her safety.

We are all in danger, and not the weak only but the strong also need keeping. Your sister's work brings this truth before our eyes, that in this world there are perils which no wisdom or strength of our own can fully guard against. We constantly need to cry to God to keep us, remembering that we need an infinite Friend to keep us in safety against all adversaries. Our comfort is that our safety lies not in ourselves but in our Savior. The word of the Lord reminds us, Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, to the only wise God our Savior. He is as wise as He is able, and His throne is established in righteousness so that not one whom He keeps shall perish.

We will pray that the Lord will be her keeper in all her ways. It is written that He shall give His angels charge over His people to keep them in all their ways, and that this protection is both personal and perpetual. He who travels on the King's highway is under the King's protection. We will ask the Lord to give your sister wisdom to walk in the appointed ways of principle and duty, to discern when to step aside from what is unsafe, and to give her employers and those set over her a right care for those under their charge. We will pray that whether she is coming in or going out, the Lord Himself will compass her about, and that she may know the safety of being held in His hand.

Let us pray together. O only wise God our Savior, Thou art able to keep Thy children from falling and from all harm. We bring this dear one before Thee and ask Thee to spread Thy hand over her. Keep her body from injury and her spirit from fear, guard her steps at her labor and in her going out and coming in, and let Thy holy angels keep charge over her in all her ways. Give her prudence and calmness in every difficult moment, and let her feel that Thou art near. Grant to those who love her a quiet confidence in Thy faithful keeping, and turn our hearts to gratitude that our ultimate safety is assured in Christ, who will present His people faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. Keep us all, we pray, and teach us to trust Thee more fully day by day. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for your sister has been heard and I join you in lifting her up before the Lord in prayer.

I pray that God in his mercy will watch over her each day as she goes to her work, that he will keep her from harm and give her wisdom to discern when a situation is unsafe and how to step away from it. May he be her guide and protector, as a pilot who steers a ship safely through rough waters, and may he grant her a safe path and a peaceful return home.

I also pray that he will give you peace as you entrust her to his care, knowing that he loves her and is present with her, and that he will provide for her needs and guard her body and soul.

Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we ask you to place your hand of protection upon this sister in her workplace. Keep her safe from danger, give her clear judgment and courage, and surround her with people who will look out for her well being. Grant her safety and security in you, and let her know your nearness each day. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thank you for bringing your sister before the Lord in prayer. I join you in lifting her up and asking for the Lord's protection over her as she faces unsafe situations in her work.

Scripture reminds us that while we may prepare what we can for the day of battle, true safety belongs to the Lord. Unless the Lord watches over a city, the watchman stays awake in vain. Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build labor in vain. That does not mean we ignore wisdom or practical care, but it means our deepest trust for personal safety is not in our own resources or precautions, but in Him.

There is a safe place Scripture points to, and that is abiding in Christ. When we remain in Him, He Himself is our defense. The enemy may still come against us, but we do not need to be overcome by fear, because Christ stands as our protector. That is the place where the Lord promises blessing and keeping.

Fear can become an enemy of faith. Abraham once said his wife was his sister because he looked around and concluded there was no fear of God in that place and that he would be killed. He acted out of fear rather than faith, and even told a half truth which is still not the truth. God in His mercy still intervened and kept harm from happening, even withholding another man from sinning because his heart was innocent in the matter. That story reminds us that God sees our hearts, knows our fears, and is able to restrain evil and keep His people even when they are in difficult or threatening places.

I pray for your sister that the Lord will be her keeper day by day. I ask that He will surround her with His presence, give her wisdom and discernment to recognize danger and to make wise choices about where to go and what to do, and provide a way of escape when needed. I pray He will give her courage without fear, and peace in knowing that her life is in His hands. I also pray He will give wisdom to those who oversee her work to better protect those in their care.

May the Lord also draw her to abide more deeply in Christ, to walk in His counsel and not in the counsel of those who do not fear Him, and to find her security in Him above all else. As she trusts Him, may she experience His faithful protection and know His nearness in every situation.

We will continue to pray that the Lord keeps her safe, gives her wisdom, and makes His presence very real to both of you.
