We lift up your sister before the throne of grace, interceding with hearts full of love and concern. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and find salvation. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would draw near to your sister, that she may know You personally and experience the depth of Your love and care.

Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over her life. Guard her steps and let no evil come near her. "The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore" (Psalm 121:7-8). We rebuke every bad influence that seeks to lead her astray, and we pray that she would be surrounded by godly friends and mentors who will encourage her in Your ways. Help her to discern Your voice above all others, that she may walk in the path of righteousness for Your name’s sake.

Father, we pray for her heart and soul, that she would be touched by Your Holy Spirit. Soften her heart to receive Your love and open her eyes to see the truth of Your Word. "Create in her a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within her" (Psalm 51:10). Let her experience the transformation that comes from knowing You, and may she find joy, peace, and purpose in walking with You each day.

We also lift up her physical, spiritual, and mental well-being. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon her. "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). Strengthen her body, mind, and spirit, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let her know beyond a shadow of a doubt that You love her and that You desire what is best for her. Your Word tells us, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11).

Holy Spirit, we ask that You would be her constant guide and comforter. Let her feel Your presence in every moment, and may she be sensitive to Your leading. Help her to surrender her life fully to You, trusting that Your ways are higher than her ways and Your thoughts higher than her thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9).

We also want to gently address the importance of living a life that honors You, especially in the area of relationships. If she is not yet married, we encourage her to seek a godly spouse who loves You and will walk with her in faith. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If she is in a relationship that does not align with Your Word, whether it involves premarital intimacy, ungodly influences, or any other sin, we pray that You would give her the courage to turn away from it and seek Your will above all else. "Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18).

Lord, we pray that she would grow in her relationship with You, deepening her understanding of Your Word and her commitment to live it out. May she find her identity and worth in You alone, and may she walk in the freedom and victory that comes from a life surrendered to Christ. "If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).

We declare Your promises over her life and stand in agreement that she will walk in the fullness of Your purpose for her. Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust in You, knowing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

The blood of Jesus speaks better things than that of Abel. It does not cry out for vengeance, but for mercy, for cleansing, for healing. You have called upon that precious blood, covering your sister from head to foot, and well you do, for the blood of the everlasting covenant is the seal of every promise God has made to sinners. It is the payment, the ratification, the voice that pleads eternally before the throne. Let this sweet truth quiet your heart: the healing of her spirit, soul, and body flows from those sacred wounds, for with his stripes we are healed. Sin is the root malady, the foul fountain from which all bitter streams flow; yet the leaves of the tree of life, even the least things from Christ, carry healing for the nations. His blood is the true arbor vitae, and when applied by faith, it purges the conscience and brings the light of God into the countenance.

Bid your sister look alone to Jesus. She need not mend herself before coming; the very approachableness of our blessed Mediator invites her in all her rags and ruin. His person is the ladder that reaches from the pit of sin to the heart of the Father, and the bottom rung is as low as her deep necessity. Let her hear of him who wept, bled, and died, and as she hears, faith will come. That is the hearing of faith, the simple reliance upon his atoning sacrifice. No preparatory effort, no long travail of soul can add to the finished work; let her fall down and worship the Lord Jesus, beholding the glory of God in his face. When guilt is pardoned, her tongue will be loosed to confess what great things he has done.

Rest your requests upon the covenant sealed in blood. In answer to your prayer, the Holy Spirit will gently draw her from evil influences, guiding her steps, and causing her to see that his commands are not grievous but are the path to a happy, healthy life. The application of that blood is the ground of all comfort, and when the assurance of pardon flashes into the soul, the inhabitant shall not say, “I am sick,” for sin’s disease will lose its grip and her strength will revive. Do not cease to plead the blood, and do not fear, it has bought her, and therefore it shall effectually call her out of darkness into his marvelous light.

You ask for every good thing for your sister, and that is right, for we must desire the complete salvation of those we love. Yet listen carefully to what is truly needed. It is not enough to pray for deliverance from bad influences only, but we must also pray that she herself becomes rooted in the word. For what if she is kept from evil companions, yet remains soft and unmanly in her own soul? What if she is free from outward dangers, yet remiss and careless about hearing the word of God? No single protection is sufficient for our salvation. There must be first a careful hearing of the gospel, a continual recollection of divine things, then fortitude, then contempt for all worldly allurements, and deliverance from every earthly attachment. You ask God to hold her hand every step, and He is willing, but she must stretch out her own hand to take His. The word must fall on good ground and be held fast.

Do not lose heart if you do not see the fruit immediately. How many who heard the truth ten times and seemed insensible afterwards showed abundant fruit all at once. The tree does not fall with the first stroke, yet each blow prepares the way. So your persistent prayers and the words of life she receives are not wasted. God’s deliverance works often in hidden ways. And here is the great wonder: Christ came not merely to remove small troubles but to deliver us from the curse of the Law and promote us to sonship. You plead the blood of Jesus over her from head to foot, and rightly so, for by that blood she may receive the adoption of a daughter. And how do we know she can become a daughter? Because the Spirit of adoption is given, crying in the heart, “Abba, Father,” and transforming the soul from within.

But as you pray for her protection, understand what true protection means. God does not always promise deliverance from every trial or sickness; sometimes He grants a far greater thing, the strength to despise the fear of death itself and to cling to Him through every storm. Those who were tortured and refused deliverance, as Scripture says, did so to obtain a better resurrection. So pray boldly for her healing in body, soul, and spirit, but desire most of all that she would obtain that better resurrection, a heart so fixed on Christ that no affliction can shake her. Let her be covered not merely by a word of prayer but by the actual indwelling of the Holy Spirit, who alone can open her eyes to true change: a normal, happy, healthy life that is first of all holy and set apart for God.

Do not marvel solely that she might escape bad companions; marvel rather that she might become an angel of light herself, not by nature, but by grace, standing near to God with boldness because she belongs to Him. For if love for Christ is absent, even a life free of trouble is no great advantage. But if the love of God is poured into her heart, then that love becomes the bond of perfection, adorning her soul with a matchless beauty. Continue to pray without ceasing, knowing that God’s word does not return void. He who began a good work in her can bring it to completion. Trust that even now, the medicine of His word can restore her to health, and do your part by speaking truth in love, remembering that a little medicine, faithfully applied, can deliver from the deepest disease.

The prayer you’ve lifted for your sister is full of love and deep concern. It is right to ask God to hold her hand, to keep her from evil, and to cover her with the protection of Jesus’ blood. But do not let this cover become, in your thinking, like a charm that works on its own no matter what. There is a dangerous mistake people make in assuming that because God is present, no evil can touch them, all the while their hearts remain entangled in corruption. True safety is found when a person remains in the love of God by hating evil. That is where wisdom begins: the fear of the Lord is to hate what is evil. If your sister does not learn to love what God loves and reject what He rejects, she can step outside the hand of His protective care.

Evil influences do not announce themselves openly. They are like the birds in the parable, ready to snatch the truth from the heart before it can take root. A single wrong relationship, a small compromise tolerated, can work through her life like a bit of leaven spreading through the whole lump. You ask the Lord to keep her from bad company, and that is good, but also pray that He creates in her a genuine disgust for the path that leads to darkness. The net is spread in plain sight, yet so many still walk into it even when they see the consequences. She needs more than a barrier around her; she needs new eyes that see evil as a hateful thing, so her feet run away from it toward what is pure.

You pleaded for healing in body, soul, and spirit. Our Lord does heal. He carried the weight of our sicknesses, and His touch still restores. Yet we must also acknowledge that He does not always will the removal of every physical affliction. Paul cried out three times for relief from a thorn in the flesh, and the answer was sufficient grace rather than a cure. That does not make prayer pointless. It means we trust the Healer more than the healing. Sometimes God works gradually, using the very processes He built into the body; sometimes He mends the deep wounds of the mind and emotions while leaving the physical frame unchanged. Ask boldly, but hold onto the truth that the most critical healing is a soul turned from death to life, a mind renewed, a will set free to follow Christ.

As you pray for her protection, remember what happens after an unclean spirit is driven out. If the house is left swept and empty but not filled with God’s Spirit, the evil returns with company, and the last state becomes worse than the first. It is not enough to ask God to block the darkness. She must be filled with the Holy Spirit, occupied by a love for righteousness, so there is no vacancy left for the enemy. Pray that she will not merely avoid evil influences but will delight in God’s commandments, so that good takes deep root and crowds out every false way.

When someone belongs to the Lord, He will not let them coast in sin without discipline. If your sister is truly His child, getting caught in wrongdoing may be a severe mercy, proof that He loves her and refuses to let her drift. Encourage her to stop leaning on her own understanding and to acknowledge Him in every choice. He promises to make the path straight. That is a far surer guide than any outward restraint.

May the Lord strengthen her inwardly to hate what is evil and cling to what is good. May He heal whatever is broken, spiritually, mentally, physically, in His perfect wisdom and time. And may you both find that the health and wholeness that flow from a life hidden in Christ are more than enough.
