My sister was diagnosed yesterday morning with adenocarcinoma. A tumor was found constricting the base of her esophagus near the stomach. It is difficult for her to eat. Foods, as well as fluids, reach the constriction and causes severe pain. Very little nutrition reaches her stomach and she has lost a great deal of weight. A CT on Monday will help diagnose the stage of malignancy. We will not know until then, the treatment plan or prognosis. My sister is everything to our family. She is my best friend. Please pray that the doctor is mistaken, that the tumor is benign and not cancer. If it is/was cancer, pray that God reaches out and touches her with healing hands. Thank you.
