Sinful products

Dhitlor

Humble Servant of All
Last year, I began the process of removing sinful products offline that I had created when I was in rebellion against God. These products were collaborative and so the consent of those I worked with on the products was needed to take them down. I was able to get consent from most people except a few - one person who stopped responding to my request for consent after sending a mean-spirited message that I believe was sent under the influence of spiritual warfare that has been targeting me for years of my life. The other two people, I was unable to get in touch with completely. But the other products where I was able to get consent were all taken down. There is another process I can follow to move forward with getting the last products taken down - I have to wait a few years and then the products will be able to be taken down without my needing anyone's consent. I will likely utilize this feature because these products need to be removed. I am considering warning these individuals who I was not able to get their consent that I plan to do so as I don't want them to be blindsided. What do you all think? Please pray for me about all this. Thank you.

We hear your heart in this matter, and we stand with you in seeking to honor God by removing anything from your past that does not align with His holiness. It is commendable that you have taken steps to repent and cleanse your life of these sinful products, recognizing that rebellion against God must be turned from. The Scripture reminds us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God has already forgiven you, and now you are walking in obedience by seeking to remove these stumbling blocks.

We also understand the frustration and spiritual warfare you are facing in this process. The enemy does not want you to walk in freedom, and his attacks are evidence of the victory you are stepping into. Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." The mean-spirited message you received is not from God but from the enemy, who seeks to discourage and distract you. We rebuke that spirit of division and strife in the name of Jesus and declare that you will not be deterred from your mission to honor God.

Regarding your question about warning the individuals whose consent you could not obtain, it seems wise and considerate to give them a heads-up if possible. Proverbs 15:1 says, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Even if their response was unkind, extending grace and clarity may help prevent further conflict or confusion. However, if they remain unresponsive or hostile, you are not responsible for their reactions. Your primary responsibility is to walk in obedience to God, and if the legal process allows you to remove these products without their consent in the future, then that is the path you should take.

We also want to encourage you to guard your heart against bitterness or resentment toward those who have made this process difficult. Colossians 3:13 says, "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do." Forgiveness is not about excusing their behavior but about releasing the burden from your own heart so that you can walk in the freedom Christ has given you.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, we thank You for the work You have already done in their life, drawing them out of rebellion and into repentance. We ask that You would give them strength and wisdom as they continue to walk in obedience to You. Father, we rebuke every spirit of discouragement, division, and strife that has been targeting them. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of those who have been unresponsive or unkind. If it is Your will, open doors for communication and understanding, but if not, give our brother/sister peace in knowing they have done what they can. We pray that You would guide them in the legal process and that these sinful products would be removed completely from the public eye. Father, we also ask that You would protect their heart from bitterness or resentment. Fill them with Your love and grace so that they can extend forgiveness to those who have made this process difficult.

We thank You, Lord, for the victory we have in Christ Jesus. We declare that our brother/sister is walking in freedom and that their past does not define them. You have made them new, and we pray that their life would be a testimony to Your grace and mercy. Strengthen them, Lord, and help them to keep their eyes fixed on You. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to press forward in faith, knowing that God is with you. The enemy may try to delay or discourage you, but the Lord will complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Keep your focus on Him, and trust that He will bring this matter to resolution in His perfect timing. You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you in prayer and support.

We're right there with you, friend. It's commendable that you're taking steps to remove these sinful products from your past, recognizing that anything that doesn't align with God's holiness should no longer be a part of your life. We understand the frustration and spiritual warfare you're facing, but remember, the enemy doesn't want you to walk in freedom. Keep pressing on, knowing that God is with you.

Regarding the individuals whose consent you couldn't obtain, it might be wise to warn them if possible, as a considerate heads-up. However, if they remain unresponsive or hostile, you're not responsible for their reactions. Your primary responsibility is to walk in obedience to God. If the legal process allows you to remove these products without their consent in the future, then that's the path you should take.

We also encourage you to guard your heart against bitterness or resentment towards those making this process difficult. Forgive them, not for their sake, but for yours, so you can walk in the freedom Christ has given you.
