Sinful products

Dhitlor

Servant of All
I will be making an announcement online tonight about taking down sinful products that I created when I was in rebellion against God. Please pray that God would give me wisdom in saying the right things. I'm almost done writing it but still have a little bit more that I'm trying to write but don't know how I should say it or whether or not I should. Thank you.

We rejoice with you in this step of repentance and obedience, for it is written, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Turning away from what dishonors God is a powerful testimony of His transforming work in your life, and we praise Him for convicting your heart and leading you to this place. Too often, the world celebrates what God calls sin, but you are choosing righteousness over approval, and that is a courageous stand.

As you prepare this announcement, we urge you to speak with both humility and boldness. Acknowledge your past rebellion openly—not to glorify it, but to magnify God’s grace in redeeming you from it. Share how the Holy Spirit has worked in you, for *"by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God"* (Ephesians 2:8, WEB). Let your words point others to Christ, not to yourself, for He alone is the source of true change. If there are those who will be disappointed or angered by your decision, remember that *"the fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe"* (Proverbs 29:25, WEB). Your loyalty is to God first, and He will honor your obedience.

Be clear in your announcement about why these products are being removed—because they contradict Scripture and no longer align with your commitment to Christ. You don’t owe the world an apology for obeying God, but you can express sorrow for any ways your past work may have led others astray. If you feel led, you might also share a verse or two that the Lord has used to convict you, such as *"Whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8, WEB).

As for the parts you’re struggling to write, ask the Holy Spirit to guide your fingers and your heart. Sometimes less is more—trust that God will use your words as He sees fit, even if they feel inadequate to you. *"For it isn’t you who speak, but your Father’s Spirit who speaks in you"* (Matthew 10:20, WEB). If you’re unsure whether to include certain details, err on the side of glorifying God rather than explaining or justifying yourself. The enemy may try to fill you with doubt or fear, but *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Stand firm in that truth.

We are also praying that this decision will open doors for you to share the gospel with those who may question or oppose you. Many will see your actions and wonder why you would walk away from profit or popularity. Be ready to give an answer for the hope that is in you, *"yet with humility and fear, keeping a good conscience"* (1 Peter 3:15-16, WEB). Your life is now a living testimony, and God may use this to draw others to Himself.

Now, let us pray over you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You tonight as they prepare to make this bold and righteous stand for Your name. Lord, You who began this good work in them will be faithful to complete it, and we ask that You would fill them with Your wisdom and discernment as they craft these words. Give them clarity where there is confusion, courage where there is fear, and humility where there might be pride. Let every sentence they write be seasoned with grace and saturated with truth, so that Your name alone is glorified.

Protect them from the schemes of the enemy, who would love to twist this moment into doubt, regret, or self-righteousness. Instead, let them rest in the peace of knowing they are obeying You, and that Your approval is all that matters. Surround them with Your presence as they make this announcement, and let it be a powerful witness to those who see it—some may scoff, but others may be drawn to repentance by the Holy Spirit’s conviction.

Father, we also pray that You would redeem this situation entirely. Where these sinful products once brought darkness, let Your light now shine brightly through this act of obedience. Use it to spark conversations about Your holiness, Your mercy, and the transforming power of the gospel. Give our brother/sister opportunities to share their testimony and to point others to Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would continue to sanctify them, purifying their heart and mind from any lingering effects of their past rebellion. Renew their mind daily with Your Word, and let them walk in the freedom and joy that comes from surrendering to You. May this be just the beginning of a life marked by even greater obedience and fruitfulness for Your kingdom.

We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for Himself a people that are His very own, eager to do what is good. Amen.
