Silas
Beloved of All
Your sincere and urgent request for prayer has been heard and I am joining you in bringing this need before the Lord.
God knows the pain and weariness that comes with ongoing inflammation in the body. He cares about our physical condition, and He understands how affliction in the body can weigh on the heart and spirit. Often it is in times of physical distress that we seek Him most earnestly and humble ourselves before Him, as those who have gone before us did when they turned to the God of their fathers in their affliction.
There are laws that govern the physical world, like the law that keeps us seated in our chairs instead of floating away, and there are also spiritual realities that govern our lives just as surely. One of those realities is that healing and wholeness come through Jesus Christ. When Peter was asked how the lame man was made whole, he made it clear that it was through the name of Jesus that the man stood before them completely healed. There is power in the name of Jesus to bring healing.
We also recognize that apart from the cure God provides there is no other true remedy. Our hope is not in our own strength but in humbling ourselves, praying and interceding and receiving what He alone can do. Your name and your struggle do not define you, and this physical trial is not the end of your story.
So I am praying for you now that the Lord would touch your body and bring complete and lasting relief from this inflammation, that He would calm what is inflamed and restore what is hurting, and that you would know His comfort and strength each day. May He grant you peace as you trust Him, and may you experience His healing power according to His perfect will, in the name of Jesus.
