Sincere prayers please

We hear the fear and desperation in your words, and we come before the Lord together, lifting you up in earnest prayer. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this moment, God sees your struggle and is near to you.

Father in Heaven, we come before You with heavy hearts, interceding for our brother/sister who is gripped by fear and distress. Lord, we ask that You calm their spirit and bring peace to their mind. Your Word says in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus and declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).

We also pray for healing, Lord. If their eyes are causing them physical distress, we ask for Your divine touch to restore them. Jeremiah 30:17 says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds." We trust in Your healing power, and we ask that You guide them to the right medical care if needed. Give them wisdom and discernment in this moment.

If there is any spiritual attack or oppression behind this fear, we stand against it in the authority of Jesus’ name. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We put on the full armor of God and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We encourage you to draw near to God in this time. James 4:8 says, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." Spend time in His Word, meditate on His promises, and let His peace guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:6-7). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father.

Lord, we ask that You surround our brother/sister with Your presence and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are their ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that this trial will not overcome them but will instead draw them closer to You. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them feel Your love and protection in this moment.

We continue to pray for you, trusting that God is at work even in the midst of your fear. Hold fast to His promises, and remember that He is faithful to deliver you. If you are able, reach out to a trusted brother or sister in Christ for support and prayer. You are not alone, we stand with you in this battle, and we believe that God will bring you through it. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We hear how scared you are, and we're not going to minimize that. When something's happening with your eyes, something you can't control or explain, it's deeply unsettling. Fear and panic are completely natural responses right now, not a lack of faith.

While we're praying (and we are, strongly), we also want to gently urge you to get to a doctor or an eye specialist as soon as you possibly can, if you haven't already. Sudden changes in vision or unusual symptoms in your eyes deserve a professional's attention. This isn't a contradiction of prayer, it's part of how God often provides help and wisdom, through the hands and minds He's gifted in medicine. So please, let a professional take a look. It will give you clarity and a path forward, and it's one concrete way to push back against the helplessness of fear.

In the meantime, you don't have to carry this alone. Let a trusted friend or someone from your church know what's happening. Just having someone sit with you in an ER waiting room or drive you to an appointment can make the swirling panic feel more manageable. We're also glad you told us, because now you know a whole community of prayer partners is holding you up, and that's a real, steadying thing.

Jesus, we lift up our friend right now. You know exactly what's happening in their body, and You see the terror gripping their heart. Please calm the storm inside them. Give them the steady presence of people who can help, and grant wisdom and insight to any doctor or specialist who examines them. Guard their eyes, but even more, guard their heart and mind with the peace that only You can give. We ask this in Your strong name, Jesus.

Trouble of the eyes is no small thing, and the fear that rides with it is a darkness of its own. But hear this: “Fear not, for I will help thee.” The Lord who made the eye can mend it; the Savior who opened blind eyes with clay and spittle has not lost His power. You are not out of His sight, no, you are under it. The least thing about Christ is healing. The very hem of His garment is medicine for the trembling soul.

Yet while we pray for the body, we must not neglect the deeper need. Often the body cries out, but the soul is the true sufferer. Hagar could not see the well, though it was right before her, until God opened her eyes. How many have bright eyes of flesh but cannot see the Well of living water, Christ Jesus! The scales of fear, sin, and unbelief lie thick upon the natural heart. The main reason some do not attain peace is that their eyes are dazzled with fancies, looking for signs, looking for feelings, looking everywhere but straight to Jesus. “Let your eyes look right on.” Fix them upon the Crucified One. For just as the serpent was lifted in the wilderness and a look brought healing, so a single glance of faith toward Christ brings forgiveness and wholeness to the sin-sick soul. Pardon and healing are bound up together in Him.

I am bound to tell you plainly that the terror you feel may be the Spirit’s stirring, driving you to the only source of true safety. Fear is weakening; it dishonors God. Cast it out by trusting in promised strength. The Lord says, “Fear not, thou worm Jacob.” You are small, you are trembling, you feel utterly undone. So be it. Then Christ is exactly suited for you. There is no stint in His healing power. His blood speaks peace; His wounds bleed balm. If you are now crying, “God be merciful to me a sinner,” then know that though you dare not lift up your eyes, the eyes of Heaven are looking down with love. The Savior saw the faith of the palsied man’s friends and spoke forgiveness before He commanded the body to rise. Faith is the eye that receives it. And even faith is His gift, so breathe this prayer now: “Lord, open my eyes.” Breathe it again. He can do it at once.

Pray we will, with strong cryings. But you must not merely wait for prayer; you must look. Look now from the depths of your fright to the Lord Jesus. Look and live. Let the Holy Spirit bring your eyes into sharp focus, both of them upon Christ, and do not turn them aside to other confidences. The healing leaves of the tree of life are for you. The spit of His lips enlightened blind eyes; that same sovereign grace can scatter your darkness. I charge you before God, be not disobedient to the heavenly whisper that says, “Fear not.” Fear not, only believe. The Lion of the tribe of Judah is your helper; He will not let the adversary have his way with you. In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. The Lord open your eyes, drive out the dread, and give you to see Jesus only, then you will go your way justified and healed. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your eyes may be failing you, but the eye of the soul can still behold the kindness of God. Do not let fear master you, for Christ meets those who tremble with the words, "All hail, be not afraid." He cast out fear from the women at the tomb and from the disciples in the storm, and He will do the same for you if you run to Him now. I will pray strongly, as you ask, but I beg you to lift up your own voice in prayer as well, for the Lord hears those who cry out to Him in distress.

Consider how He sent Ananias to Paul, who was blind and shaking with dread, and restored his sight, making that very man a chosen vessel for great works. Do you think your affliction is beyond His power? He who formed the eye from dust can calm its turmoil with a word. Whether He grants you immediate relief or permits this trial to continue for a time, it is for your salvation, to strip away the film that clouds the inner vision and make you cling to Him alone. As I have said, our comfort abounds through Christ far more than our sufferings; the season of struggle brings a harvest of fresh crowns if we endure with thanksgiving.

Do not let panic shut the eyes of your heart. Instead, let this fright become the door through which you enter more deeply into trust. Meditate on the promises: that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed, and that even now the Father of mercies comforts us in all our affliction so that we may comfort others. I and the whole church will entreat the Lord on your behalf, but you must also resist despair. The Physician of souls and bodies is near. Place your fear before His feet, and He will give you the peace that passes understanding.
