sin and legalism

I feel I need to post this request and idea. I know in my town or area persons who want to be in charge or they want to tell you how strict as in calling things sin that are not sins and things like what you own is all sin just because you are having issues with it [ as if a Christian should not keep anything at all at home whatsoever, to them, religious bossy ones, that might include chairs to sit on and you write a list until you have not a roof over you. People get these stricter ideas of the Christian life making only appear impossible to stay saved, so they frustrate the grace of God and even the gracious kindness of God, but then you are never able to tell a pastor what is going on. The strict part is telling you that if you enjoy shopping or eating out that that has to be a sin by their recollection because you're enjoying yourself when life does not have sin added to it like that/to feel okay is not a sin. So one if he avoids feeling well to please a standard, but so feels miserable to feel holy and righteous because he kept some man-made edicts. God is not sitting behind a cloud with lightning and a huge whip to watch if we screw up one iota. That really is not in the Bible [ it's assumed it has to be because God is big and must not care about real life or real allowed happiness]. Matthew 23 if read fully in Greek or grammar to check its points will reveal much about fake religiosity applied to modern life as well. Galatians will speak even more if you see those who infiltrate a group to bring in religious laws that God has nothing to do with. WE do love one another, but it can be stifled by false ideas brought into a group.

Wow, I totally feel what you are saying. Isn't God about loving, caring about others? How can we live if we cannot do anything? I believe although people believe in our Lord and Savior, many have different beliefs of what is right or wrong. I don't think people should bash someone else for let's say for instance, eating shrimp or being a woman and wearing pants. Like, come on people. It is time to truly worry about yourself/your family instead of what ### likes to eat, or if he likes to go dancing. I pray that people will open their hearts and if they truly want to see people change, it starts with them being loving not hateful!
