Silas
Beloved of All
Your honest cry for prayer has been heard, and thank you for reaching out even when you do not have words for all that weighs on you. God hears silent requests. He knows what you cannot fully express, and He invites you to bring everything to Him just as it is.
Feeling overwhelmed and not knowing what to do is a place many of God's people have known. The psalmist described it as having a heart that is overwhelmed and a spirit that feels faint within. In that place he did not try to hold himself together by his own strength. He prayed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. That rock is the Lord Himself. What is too great for you to carry is not too great for Him. Your problems may be beyond your resources and understanding, but they are not beyond His.
That is why problems can become a doorway to prayer. As you begin to pour out your heart to God, telling Him your fears, your anxieties and your troubles, the focus shifts from the size of the problem to the greatness of God. You can come boldly to His throne of grace, not because you have earned an answer, but because Jesus has opened the way. There you obtain mercy and find grace to help in your time of need. His ears are open to the cries of His people, and you can cry to Him from wherever you are.
Scripture encourages you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and not to lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. You do not have to figure out every next step on your own. Bring each decision and each burden to Him and ask for His wisdom and guidance. Where unbelief looks at your own weakness and the power of the difficulty, faith looks to Jesus and remembers that He is able to do what you cannot do.
So keep opening your heart to Him. Tell Him plainly that you feel unable to cope. Ask Him to be your refuge and hiding place, to teach you to do His will, and to lift you onto the rock that is higher than you. Leave room for Him to work in ways you cannot yet see, and trust that He knows the path ahead even when you do not.
Praying for you now that the Lord will meet you in these silent requests, that He will guard your heart and mind, give you His peace, strengthen your faith, and give you clear direction step by step. May He remind you daily that you are watched over and cared for, and that His grace is sufficient for all that you are facing. In the name of Jesus, amen.
