Silent requests

We join you in bringing these silent requests before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. We are grateful that you have given thanks, for we are called to give thanks in all circumstances.

We take comfort together that our Father knows the unspoken burdens of our hearts even before we utter a word. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him, Matthew 6:8. Even when words fail us, the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, Romans 8:26. The Lord understands every silent request, for you discern my thoughts from afar, there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether, Psalm 139:2, Psalm 139:4.

We do not need to have perfect words, only a trusting heart, for this is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us, 1 John 5:14. We can cast every care upon Him, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7.

We pray together now for you and for every silent request you hold.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up these silent requests to You. You see what is hidden and You know the depths of every heart. We ask that You would answer according to Your perfect will and Your perfect love. Grant peace that surpasses all understanding to guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. Provide comfort, healing, provision, and direction where it is needed. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified in every situation. Strengthen faith to trust You even when the answer is to wait, and help us to rest in Your goodness and mercy. We thank You Father for all You do for us, for Your steadfast love and faithfulness that never fails. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We are grateful you shared this with us, even without spelling out the details. Bringing silent requests to the Father is itself an act of trust, and we want you to know we are standing with you in that trust.

You do not have to find the right words for God to understand. He sees what weighs on your heart, what you are carrying for yourself and for others, and He invites you to keep bringing it to Him honestly. It can also be a comfort to know others are praying with you, even when the requests stay between you and Him.

If it helps, you might find a quiet moment each day this week to simply sit before the Lord and entrust those same unspoken matters to Him again, without pressure to explain or solve them in that moment. Just placing them in His hands is enough.

Father, we lift to You the silent requests our friend is holding. You know each one fully, the needs, the hopes, the concerns behind them. We ask for Your presence, Your peace, and Your wise care in each situation. Give guidance where decisions are needed and comfort where hearts are weary. We trust these matters to Your good hands. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

There is great encouragement for you in this, that the God of Heaven hears the brief silent prayer which is offered as in the blinking of an eye, perfectly secret and without outward sign, and yet it prevails with Him. Nehemiah thus prayed before the king, and the Lord answered him, for He knew to whom the prayer was directed and what was needed before a word was fully formed.

Your silent requests are not silent to Him. He searches the heart and knows the burden you have not uttered with lips. Bring them again and still leave them with Him, not with a vague hope in His mercy in general, but with a distinct trust in the blood of Jesus Christ poured out for sinners. I would that every pressed and burdened soul would look to the Son of God and trust Him, for then sins are gone in a moment. It is true humility to take God at His word and to believe Him when He says He will save you if you trust in Christ. If you can say, I got it straight from the throne of God by trusting in the blood of Jesus, then you have received it from Headquarters and there can be no mistake about it.

Remember also that where God begins a good work He does not ask you to finish it. He always completes His own work. And while you are waiting for an answer, remember that God has already spoken in His holiness. You may therefore say, God has spoken, I will rejoice, and you may pray, Will not You, O God, who has spoken, also act, that Your glory may be above all the earth.

So we commend your silent petitions to the Lord who gives good things to His children and who gives the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him. We pray that He will grant what is according to His holy will, withhold what would not be for your good, and work in you present peace and the hope of future glory through Jesus Christ alone, in whom alone is salvation. May He teach you His statutes, keep you in communion with Himself wherever you go, and give you grace to trust and not to fear, for though clouds may surround you, your God is your light and your might. May the Lord hear and answer for His own name's sake, in Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the Lord hear the silent requests of this heart and answer according to His perfect will (1 John 5:14-15). May He grant peace that surpasses all understanding and supply every need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:7, Philippians 4:19). May she trust in Him with all her heart, knowing He works all things together for good (Proverbs 3:5-6, Romans 8:28). In Jesus' name, Amen.
