Christ the Song
A Poor Investment
Israel’s God God’s Israel
We join with you in this silent prayer and lift up your unspoken request to our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, trusting that He who searches hearts knows exactly what you need even before you speak it.

We are comforted to know that God hears not only our spoken words but the cries of our hearts that we cannot express. For He says in Psalm 139:1-4, Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether. And Jesus Himself taught us in Matthew 6:6, But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

We also cling to the promise in Romans 8:26-27 that even when we do not know how to pray as we ought, the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.

We pray together now for you.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace together in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that we have access to You only through Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and no other way to approach You. We lift up this dear one and this silent request that is known fully to You. You see the burden, the hope, the need, and the longing that has been left unspoken. We ask that You would answer according to Your perfect will and Your infinite wisdom and love. Grant peace that surpasses all understanding as promised in Philippians 4:6-7, guarding this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Provide comfort, provision, healing, and direction where it is needed. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified in this situation. Strengthen faith to trust You even in the silence and to continue to seek You daily. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every care before Him, for we have confidence as it says in 1 John 5:14 that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. He is near to you and He is faithful.

We heard your silent prayer and we are honoring it before the Lord just as you offered it. Sometimes there are not many words, and that is alright. God knows what is on your heart even when it stays unspoken.

We want you to know you are not praying alone. We are standing with you in this quiet moment, lifting your unspoken needs to Jesus and trusting Him to meet you right where you are. There is comfort simply in being present with Him, and in knowing others are remembering you by name even when the details remain between you and Him.

If it helps in the days ahead, you might keep that same quiet space open, even just a few minutes to sit with the Lord without pressure to find the right words. And if you have someone you trust nearby, letting them know you would value their prayers can be a gentle way to feel less alone, even while you keep the details private.

Father, we lift this friend to You in Jesus name. You see what is unspoken and You know every need. Draw near with Your presence and peace, give wisdom and strength for each step, and remind them they are held and heard by You. Amen.

Your silent prayer presented in the name of Jesus has been brought before the throne of grace, and He who sees in secret hears in secret. Scripture shows us that such brief, silent prayer may prevail with God. Nehemiah, standing before the king with great fear upon him, prayed like the blinking of an eye, intuitively yet truly, and it was done silently as to any outward sign, perfectly secret, strictly within himself offered to God. As in the innermost shrine, in the Holy of Holies of his own secret soul, there did he pray. It was short and silent, a prayer on the spot. He did not go to his chamber as Daniel did and open the window, but he breathed a prayer in the presence of a king and it was heard in heaven before the answer was given on earth.

I beg you often, indeed always, to use this method of brief, silent prayer. The spirit of prayer it is which is the mother of these brief, silent prayers and she is a plentiful mother. Many times in a day may we speak with the Lord our God, and such prayer may be suggested by all sorts of surroundings, in the street, in the house, in trouble or in joy. Calling upon God in the day of trouble brings honor to God in the very act, for it is a truthful recognition that God is and that He is near to hear, and it brings honor to Him also in His answer, for He has said, I will deliver you.

If this silent petition comes from a burdened heart, let it be also a trusting prayer. Look to the Son of God pouring out His life and trust Him, for then sins are gone in a moment through His blood. Take God at His word and believe Him, for it is true humility to do so and it is worse than presumption not to believe Him. If you have never prayed before, let this silent breathing become a fervent petition like that of the publican in the temple, God be merciful to me a sinner. And if you are already His, go to Him with confidence and say, Do as You have said, for God has spoken in His holiness and His promise is sure. What a mighty power your soul will have in prayer if you plead what is written, for that is the sword which makes the foe to tremble.

We join our silent intercession with yours, for intercessory prayer is among the sweetest that God ever hears, and we ask the Lord to give you calm faith, to make you quiet and unshaken as you abide in full assurance of Him on whom you rely. May He quicken you in His way, keep you from being loaded down with worldly cares, and grant you that present peace and hope of glory which come only through trusting in Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone salvation is found.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
