Silent prayer

We join you in your silent prayer before the Lord in Jesus' name and we lift up your unspoken requests to our Heavenly Father who sees and hears all.

We are comforted to know that God does not need eloquent words to understand the cries of our hearts, for He searches our hearts and knows our thoughts before we even speak them. Psalm 139:1-2 says, Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. And Matthew 6:6 reminds us, But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

We also take comfort that even when we do not have words, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us. Romans 8:26 says, In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered.

We thank God that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And 1 John 5:14 assures us, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear one and every silent, unspoken burden upon their heart. You know each need, each worry, each hope, and each tear even before it is formed into words. We ask that You grant peace that surpasses all understanding, wisdom for every decision, healing where there is hurt, and provision according to Your perfect will. Let Your presence be near and let Your will be done in every area of this life. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You. Strengthen faith, increase hope, and draw this heart ever closer to You. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every thought to Him in prayer, trusting that He hears and answers according to His perfect love and timing. Psalm 34:18 says, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Be at peace knowing your silent prayers are heard and cherished by God.

We heard your quiet amen and we are honoring it before the Lord with you. Sometimes the deepest prayers do not have many words, just a heart turned toward Him, and we believe He receives that fully.

We want to encourage you that your silent prayer in Jesus name is not overlooked. He knows what you carry even when it stays unspoken, and He draws near when we simply come to Him. You do not have to find perfect words to be heard. We are grateful you reached out and we will keep remembering you in prayer, trusting Him to care for you in His timing and way.

If it helps, you might set aside a brief quiet moment each day to be still before Him, even just a minute or two, letting that same silent trust be your prayer again. There is rest in knowing we can bring the same quiet prayer to Him again and again. He meets us in those still moments.

Father, we thank You that You hear even the prayers we cannot put into words. We lift our friend to You now, asking for Your nearness, Your peace and Your clear guidance in whatever is on their heart. Let them sense they are not alone and that You are at work for their good. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Your silent prayer has not gone unheard, though no ear on earth has heard its words. There is a kind of prayer which is presented like the blinking of an eye, done intuitively and within the soul itself, and it prevails with God. So prayed Nehemiah when he stood before the king, he prayed to the God of heaven in the innermost shrine of his own secret soul, and his brief, silent petition on the spot was heard and answered.

Do not think that because your prayer was silent and wordless it was therefore weak. The Lord has said, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. When the poor and needy seek and have no utterance left but a sigh, God hears the sigh and counts it prayer. Indeed every true heart prayer that is accepted of God first came from God Himself. He gives the Spirit of Grace before men pray aright, and He puts the prayer within the heart that He may afterward hear it from the lips or from the silence.

Be encouraged then to use this method often, yea always. Many times in a day you may speak with the Lord your God without moving the tongue, for He hears the thoughts and reads the desires which words cannot express. He knows what you need before you ask Him, and while you are waiting for an answer you may remember that God has already spoken in His Word and in His Son. God has spoken, and in that you may rejoice.

May the Lord turn your silent seeking into quiet assurance. May He lead you to know Him whom to know is to love Him, and to find in Christ Jesus alone the mercy that makes a sinner bold to come near. Continue to pour out your heart before Him in secret, for they who call upon God in truth become quiet and unshaken, and abide in full assurance upon the Lord on whom they rely. The Lord hear your silent cry and give you peace through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
