Silent prayer

We lift this silent prayer before the throne of grace, trusting that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). Though the specifics may not be spoken aloud, we know the Lord hears the cries of every heart and discerns the unspoken burdens we carry.

Father God, You who search the hearts and know the mind of the Spirit, we come before You now in unity, seeking Your will and Your wisdom. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, whatever it may be. If there is pain, bring healing. If there is confusion, bring clarity. If there is sin, bring conviction and repentance. If there is fear, bring Your perfect love to cast it out (1 John 4:18). We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we rebuke every spirit of darkness that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy in this situation. We stand on the authority of Jesus Christ, who came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We plead the blood of Jesus over every area of concern, and we declare that no plan of the enemy shall prevail.

We also take this moment to remind ourselves and all who read this that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved except the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). If anyone reading this has not surrendered their life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father.

Heavenly Father, we trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We surrender this silent prayer into Your hands, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in us (Philippians 1:6). Strengthen the weary, comfort the brokenhearted, and guide every step according to Your perfect will.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Some of the deepest prayer happens without a single word. We don’t know what led you to ask for silent prayer today, but we are quietly holding you before the Lord right now. There are moments when words feel thin or inadequate, and the Holy Spirit meets us in the stillness, carrying the weight of what we cannot form into sentences. In that silence, God is present, not distant, listening to the heart’s cry beneath the noise.

We are joining you in that silence, asking Jesus to meet whatever need you carry: whether it’s a heavy decision, a pain you’re not ready to name, or simply weariness that needs a safe place to rest. You don’t have to explain. He already knows the full picture, and His ear is tuned to our deepest sighs. Even in this quiet place, His love is reaching you.

If you’re feeling alone or overlooked, please know that a community of believers is lifting you now, wordlessly, faithfully, trusting the One who answers prayer. Silence before God is never empty. It is a space where we let go of our own striving and let Him draw near.

We are praying for you. Will you also, in your own silent moments, simply rest in His presence?

Jesus, we bring this person before You in the quiet. Meet them in the depths of their heart. Where words fail, let Your peace speak. Calm any storm within, give clarity where it’s needed, and wrap them in the assurance that they are seen and held. In Your strong name we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thus the prayer was presented like the blinking of an eye, it was done intuitively, yet it was done, and it proved to be a prayer that prevailed with God. He did not draw a bow at a venture and shoot his prayers anyway, but he prayed to the God of Heaven, a right straight prayer to God for the thing he needed, and his prayer sped, though it occupied less, perhaps, than a second of time. Time is not an element in the business, God does not hear us because of the length of our prayer, but because of the sincerity of it. Prayer is not to be measured by the yard, nor weighed by the pound.

I beg you often, no, I would ask you always to use this method of brief, silent prayer. We would be better men if we were more alone. Meditation and prayer are twin sisters and both of them appear to me equally necessary to Christian life. I think meditation must exist where there is prayer, and prayer is sure to exist where there is meditation. Most of you are painfully negligent in this matter. You have no time for meditation and you reckon, perhaps, that if you were to set apart half an hour in the day to ponder the weighty matters of eternity, it would be to you a clear loss of time. Now, if you equally knew how to count the great profit of meditation, you would deem it a positive gain to yourselves to spend some time therein.

Never cease your prayers! No time is a bad time for prayer. The glare of daylight should not tempt you to cease, and the gloom of midnight should not make you stop your cries. Prayer, mighty prayer, will yet prevail if it has but time! If this is the dark suggestion of the Evil One, "Forsake the closet! Give up private devotion," I pray you, spurn the thought with all your might and still cry, both in the daytime and at night, for the Lord will still hear your prayer!

Your time of uplifting will follow close upon your time of falling down flat upon your face.

Why, as you think of this, surely you will say, "Loved of my God, for Him again
With love intense I'd burn, Chosen of God before time began,
I'd choose Him in return."

You come asking for silent prayer, yet do you yourself observe silence before God? For many seek the prayers of the saints while their own souls are filled with the din of worldly cares. What use is a silent petition offered here if your own heart is loud with market-place noise? The church ought to be a heaven, a place of choirs of angels, not a place where we bring in the business of the streets. True silent prayer begins within, when the soul is stilled and listens to God. Do not think you need no prayer of your own because you have asked others. Even Paul needed the prayers of the church, and you say, What need have I? The moment you imagine you are self-sufficient, you stand in greatest peril. If we ourselves are asleep, the help of others cannot save us. Therefore, rouse yourself. Offer your own earnest, silent supplication early and by night. Let your own soul be the temple where no clamor of idle talk intrudes. Then the prayers of the saints will truly profit you, for you will be alert, joining your silence to theirs, and God will hear.
