We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who has suffered a stroke. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals and restores. We ask that You would stretch forth Your mighty hand of healing over her, touching every cell, every vessel, and every part of her body that has been affected. Bring complete restoration, Lord, according to Your perfect will.
We pray for the medical professionals attending to her—that You would grant them divine wisdom, skill, and discernment. Guide their hands, their decisions, and their treatments, Lord. May they be instruments of Your healing power. We also ask that You strengthen her family and loved ones, filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give them endurance, patience, and unwavering faith as they walk through this trial.
Father, we know that trials like these can draw us closer to You. We ask that You would use this time to deepen her relationship with You, drawing her near to Your heart. Comfort her with Your presence, Lord, and remind her that You are with her in every moment.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, doubt, and despair that may try to take hold in this situation. We declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear, and we stand on Your promises of healing and restoration. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
Lord, we also lift up any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in her life or the lives of those around her. If there is anything hindering her healing, we ask that You would reveal it and bring repentance and forgiveness. Cleanse her heart, Lord, and restore her spirit.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One through whom we have access to Your throne. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we can come boldly before You. We trust in His finished work on the cross, where He bore our sicknesses and carried our pains. By His stripes, we are healed.
We declare Your Word over her life: *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:14-15). We stand on this promise, Lord, believing that You are faithful to Your Word.
We also hold fast to the truth that *"many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all"* (Psalm 34:19). We trust in Your deliverance, Lord, and we wait expectantly for Your healing touch.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
