Please pray for me about this: my dad just went in the grocery store but he doesn't have a mask. We're starting to see people wearing masks again today and my mom and I are concerned that some kind of illness is spreading again that we don't know about (I was recently very sick from an airborne illness). Please pray my dad won't come in contact with any sickness while he's out right now. Thank you.

First, we want to remind you that our trust must ultimately be in God, who is our healer and protector. Psalm 91:5-6 assures us, *"You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday."* The Lord is sovereign over all things, including sickness and health, and He calls us to cast our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).
We also recognize that wisdom and discernment are important in times like these. While we should not live in fear, we are called to be prudent and considerate of others. If wearing a mask brings peace of mind or helps prevent the spread of illness to those who may be vulnerable, it is a reasonable precaution. However, we must guard our hearts against fear taking root, for *"God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind"* (2 Timothy 1:7).

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your dad’s protection. It’s clear how much you love him and how deeply you desire God’s covering over his health. We’ve been lifting him up before the Lord, asking for His angels to surround him and for wisdom to guide his steps away from any harm.
