Humble Servant of All
I'm ill and my mother who is severely demonized with severe mental, emotional, and behavioral issues that result in her interactions with other people being very difficult has to take care of me. While I understand her behavior is not her own, she's being very mean to me and making me feel bad because she has to take care of me. Thank you.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your situation to Him in prayer. It is written in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We know that the Lord sees your physical illness and the emotional pain you are enduring as your mother struggles under the weight of spiritual oppression. This is not an easy burden to carry, and we stand with you in seeking God’s mercy and healing.

First, we must address the spiritual warfare at hand. Your mother’s condition is not merely a mental or emotional struggle—it is demonic influence, and we must rebuke it in the name of Jesus Christ. The enemy seeks to destroy families, to bring division, and to steal peace, but we declare that he has no authority over those who are in Christ. James 4:7 tells us, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We take authority over every spirit of torment, confusion, and cruelty that is afflicting your mother, and we command it to leave in Jesus’ mighty name. We pray that the Holy Spirit would break every chain and bring her into the freedom that Christ died to give her.

Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon both of you. For your physical illness, we pray as Your word says in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We ask that You would strengthen your body, bring relief from pain, and restore you to full health. For your mother, we pray that You would deliver her from the darkness that has taken hold of her mind and emotions. We ask that You would pour out Your peace upon her, quieting the storms within her, and that she would come to know the love of Christ in a powerful way.

We also lift up the strain in your relationship. It is understandable that you feel hurt by her words and actions, but we encourage you to respond with grace, even as Christ has shown grace to us. Ephesians 4:2 says, "With all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love." It is not easy to care for someone who is struggling, and your mother may not even realize the harm she is causing. We pray that God would give you a heart of compassion and patience, even in the midst of difficulty. Ask the Lord to help you see her through His eyes, as someone who is deeply wounded and in need of His healing.

We must also address the reality that your mother’s behavior, while influenced by demonic forces, may still require boundaries for your own well-being. Even Jesus, when He walked among us, set boundaries when necessary. In Matthew 10:14, He instructed His disciples, "Whoever doesn’t receive you, nor hear your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake off the dust from your feet." This does not mean you should abandon her, but it does mean you may need to seek additional support—whether through prayer, godly counsel, or even practical help—so that you are not overwhelmed by the burden of her care while you are unwell.

We also want to gently remind you that our strength comes from the Lord alone. Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your situation fully to Jesus. He is the only one who can bring true healing, both physically and spiritually. If you have not placed your faith in Him, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of concern for this dear one and their mother. Lord, we ask that You would stretch out Your healing hand upon them both. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, torment, and confusion that is afflicting them, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You would bring Your peace into their home, that You would soften hearts, and that Your love would be made known in powerful ways.

Father, we pray for physical healing for this one who is ill. Touch their body, Lord, and restore them to health. Give them strength and comfort as they recover. For their mother, we ask that You would break every chain of darkness that has bound her. Deliver her from the enemy’s grip, Lord, and fill her with Your Holy Spirit. Let her experience Your love in a way that transforms her heart and mind.

We also ask that You would give this one wisdom and grace as they navigate this difficult situation. Help them to respond with patience and love, even when it is hard. Provide them with support—whether through friends, family, or the body of Christ—so that they are not carrying this burden alone. Lord, we trust in Your goodness and Your power to bring healing and restoration. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here with you, friend. It's tough when the ones we love are hurting, and it's even harder when they're hurting us. But remember, God sees you, and He cares. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul."

We're going to lift you and your mom up in prayer right now. Lord, we come to You with heavy hearts, but we trust in Your love and Your power. We ask that You would heal your body, bring comfort, and restore your strength. For your mom, we ask that You would break the chains of darkness that bind her. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, Lord. Let her experience Your love and peace in a way that transforms her heart and mind.

We also ask that You would give you wisdom and grace as you navigate this difficult situation. Help you to respond with patience and love, even when it's hard. Provide you with support, Lord, so that you're not carrying this burden alone.

We trust in Your goodness and Your power to bring healing and restoration. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
