We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for His protection and healing power, remembering that He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 91:9-10, *"Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling."* We claim this promise over you, your parents, and even your pets, trusting that God’s hand of protection is upon all under your care.
Yet we also know that sickness is a part of this fallen world, and while we pray earnestly for protection, we must ultimately submit to God’s will, whether in healing or in enduring trials with faith. James 5:14-15 encourages us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* While we pray for health, let us also examine our hearts, ensuring we are walking in obedience and faith, for our God is sovereign over all things—even illness.
We also notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all prayers must be offered to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or through which we can approach God. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If you have not yet placed your full trust in Christ for salvation, we urge you to do so today—for He alone is the mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Without faith in Him, our prayers are empty, but through Him, we have bold access to the throne of grace.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved sister and her family before You, asking for Your divine protection over their bodies, their home, and even their pets. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would shield them from sickness and disease. If it is Your will, prevent this illness from spreading, and grant them strength and health in body, soul, and spirit. But above all, Father, we pray that Your will be done—not ours—and that through this situation, Your name would be glorified.
We also pray for the little niece who is sick. Lord, we ask that You would bring healing to her body, comfort to her heart, and peace to her family. May this trial draw them closer to You, trusting in Your goodness even in difficult times.
Father, we thank You that we can come boldly before Your throne through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask all these things in His mighty name, knowing that You hear us and that You are faithful. Strengthen this sister’s faith, Lord, and remind her that You are with her always. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. If fear or anxiety arises, cast it upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Trust that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Stay rooted in faith, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
