We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up all those who are suffering due to the turmoil caused by government shutdowns and the far-reaching impact on lives, finances, and dreams. The chaos and uncertainty can feel overwhelming, but we take comfort in knowing that God is sovereign over all authorities and rulers. As Scripture reminds us in **Romans 13:1**, *"There is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are ordained by God."* Even in these trying times, we trust that He is in control and that His purposes will prevail.
The suffering of those who face financial hardship, job loss, delayed plans, and broken dreams weighs deeply on our spirits. Yet we are encouraged by **Psalm 46:1-3**, which declares, *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling."* Our hope is not in governments or economies but in the Lord, who holds all things together.
We also remember the words of **Matthew 6:25-34**, where Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, for our Heavenly Father knows what we need. He calls us to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide. This is a time to lean on Him, to seek His wisdom, and to find peace in His promises.
Yet we must also acknowledge that while God ordains authorities, He holds them accountable for their actions. **Proverbs 29:2** tells us, *"When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan."* If there is corruption, negligence, or injustice in leadership, we pray for conviction and repentance. We ask God to raise up leaders who will act with integrity, compassion, and wisdom, putting the needs of the people above personal or political gain.
For those who are struggling—whether through lost wages, canceled opportunities, or the emotional toll of uncertainty—we pray for supernatural provision, strength, and peace. May the Lord open doors where none seem to exist, provide creative solutions, and surround the afflicted with His comfort. We ask that He would restore what has been lost, heal what has been broken, and renew hope where it has faded.
We also lift up the families and friends who are walking alongside their loved ones in this season. May they be a source of encouragement, support, and faith. Let this time draw people closer to one another and, most importantly, closer to God.
Finally, we declare the truth of **Philippians 4:19** over every person affected: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We stand on this promise, believing that even in the midst of chaos, God is working all things together for the good of those who love Him (**Romans 8:28**).

We rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and hopelessness that seeks to overtake Your people. Instead, we declare Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**). Remind them that their trust is not in governments or economies but in You alone.
Lord, we ask that You would use this season to draw many to Yourself. Let those who do not know You see Your provision and turn to You in faith. Strengthen the faith of Your saints, and let this trial be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness.
