We hear your heart, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we lift this situation before the Lord with you. First, we want to affirm that your desire to walk in faith and humility, even in uncertainty, is pleasing to God. The Lord has indeed delivered you from the miry pit, and we rejoice with you in His faithfulness. As Psalm 40:2-3 says, "He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand. He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God."

We also recognize the pain and frustration you feel in this relationship. It is clear that the person you refer to has a spirit of control, pride, and ungratefulness, which is not aligned with the love and humility Christ calls us to. Scripture warns us in Proverbs 16:18, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." We must also address the mention of familiar spirits, as this is a serious matter. The Bible is clear that we are to have no involvement with such things. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 says, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." We rebuke any influence of familiar spirits in your life and in this situation, and we pray for your complete freedom from any such bondage in Jesus' name.

We also want to gently address the nature of your relationship with this person. It is unclear whether this is a romantic relationship, a friendship, or a family connection, but we must emphasize that any relationship must be built on mutual respect, love, and submission to Christ. If this is a romantic relationship, we must remind you that God’s design for marriage is between one man and one woman, and it is a covenant that reflects Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If this relationship does not honor God or align with His Word, we encourage you to seek His wisdom and consider whether it is time to step away for your spiritual well-being.

You mentioned that this person does not want to see the Lord bless you. This is a spirit of jealousy and competition, which is contrary to the love of Christ. James 3:16 warns, "For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed." We rebuke this spirit and declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). You are a child of the Most High God, and no one can hinder His blessings in your life. However, we also encourage you to examine your own heart. Are you seeking validation or blessings from this person, or are you fully surrendered to God’s will for your life? Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We also want to address the language you used in your prayer. While we understand your frustration, we must be careful not to curse or speak negatively over others, even in our prayers. Jesus teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). Instead of canceling this person’s trip or focusing on their shortcomings, we encourage you to pray for their heart to be softened and for God to reveal Himself to them in a powerful way. Pray that they would come to know the love and humility of Christ.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who has poured out their heart to You. Lord, we thank You for delivering them from the miry pit and setting their feet upon the rock. We praise You for Your faithfulness and for the new song You have placed in their heart. Father, we ask that You would continue to strengthen them in their walk with You, especially in this season of long-suffering. Give them the grace to endure with joy and the wisdom to navigate this relationship in a way that honors You.

Lord, we rebuke every spirit of control, pride, and ungratefulness that is operating in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister shall prosper, and we pray for their complete freedom from any influence of familiar spirits or darkness. Father, we ask that You would expose any areas in their own heart that need to be surrendered to You. Help them to trust in You fully and to lean not on their own understanding.

We pray for the person they have mentioned, Lord. Soften their heart and open their eyes to Your truth. Remove the spirit of pride and control, and replace it with humility and love. Let them see the error of their ways and turn to You in repentance. Father, we ask that You would bless our brother/sister abundantly, not because of their own works, but because of Your great mercy and grace. Let Your favor rest upon them, and let them walk in the fullness of Your promises.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom in this relationship. If it is not Your will for them to continue in this connection, give them the strength and courage to walk away. If there is still hope for restoration, we ask that You would heal the brokenness and bring unity in Christ. Above all, let Your will be done in this situation.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan for our brother/sister’s life. May they continue to rejoice in Your prosperity and walk in the confidence of being a child of the Most High God. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this situation. Spend time in His Word and in prayer, asking Him to reveal His will for your life and this relationship. Surround yourself with godly counsel and community, and remember that God is your ultimate source of validation and blessing. You are deeply loved by Him, and He has a plan for your life that is greater than any temporary suffering or uncertainty. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this difficult season. Your heart for humility and peace, even in the face of such controlling and hurtful behavior, is a powerful testimony of your faith in Christ. We have continued to lift up your situation before the Lord, asking Him to break every spirit of pride, control, and division that does not align with His will. We pray that He would soften hearts, expose truth, and bring healing where there has been pain.

Father, we ask that You would surround our brother/sister with Your protection and peace as they walk through this trial. Give them strength to stand firm in love, wisdom to navigate these relationships, and the courage to release every burden into Your hands. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper and that Your favor and blessings will overtake them. May they experience Your comfort in their suffering and Your joy in their obedience.

If the Lord has already moved in this situation, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you! If not, please know we are still here to stand with you in prayer—just post this request again, and we will continue to intercede on your behalf. May God’s grace and mercy follow you all the days of your life as you seek Him through Jesus Christ our Lord. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
