Should looters be shot????

God said in His word. Thou shall not steal. But now, there are thieves and looters who want to enter the homes and the supermarkets before the arrival of Florence. Should they be shot? Who will sin before the Lord when He said. Thou shall not kill?

Fast and pray for all the looters. Some were out of work for a long time. They need the money.
Call unto the Lord for all thieves who roam the deserted streets. Some were homeless and could not find jobs.
Ask God to save the souls of all liers and cheats who will not tell the truth if they were stealing or if they were just looking around.
Jesus wil hear from heaven and will save all of them.

Run fast to the arms of Jesus. He is our best protection and will help us all to out of harms way.

The Lord is my Rock and my Salvation. Whom shall we fear?

I worked 5 years outreaching to a Rescue Mission in Philly from 2002-2008. Without exception, I never met a man of woman there that did not have the testimony that Alcohol lead to drugs until that was all they wanted to live for, so much they wouldn’t pay rent but rather would get high.

Teen Challenge since 2000 — Same testimony — started with alcohol then drugs (mostly rock cocaine and heroin, but also marijuana, opiates and meth)... Many times the drugs caused them to be arrested, and more often than not it was not their first arrest.

When faced with verdicts like 3-5 years or longer of hard time, and then some family member would intercede and beg for an option to do One year of Teen Challenge inpatient drug and alcohol program for rehabilitation. They rooted you and grounded you in the Bible and taught you to work, syudy, have Christian fellowship, memorize Scripture, have counseling and small groups and use your voice for God’s glory...

One brother there had a saying that before drugs of alcohol, everyones first fall is usually to a skirt. They all went together, drugs, alcohol and sexual immorality. When people got paid the first thing they did was buy drugs, alcohol, cigarrettes, prostitutes an lottery tickets. When they are “in their addiction” nothing else matters and every fiber of one’s makeup revolves around how to get money so they can keep getting high. This is my experience hands on with homesless and drug addicts for 18 years. Looters sell the stuff for drug money, hands down, not to put in mutual funds.

Yes many were homeless but not all — some were unconverted thieves, getting something to pawn for money to buy drugs and liquor.

Yes, all looters should be shoot. These are not good people looking for food. These are people looking to take advantage of those in a hardship. If they are breaking into your property with a curfew in place, then these scum buckets are not your friends but only evil is there to harm you. Only God can forgive them for what they may have done. In the meantime, we need to protect ourselves from these evil people. You work too hard to have someone take it away from you. In a mandatory evacuation, you can only take the necessary vitals. I know, my family has been placed in this situation. It really hurts to be violated. It took me many years through prayer to forgive those that hurt us so bad So, I agree all LOOTER should be shoot.

God is so merciful and kind ot everyone. Looters, durg addicts, alcoholics and those who love to cheat and steal our heard earned money. All Christians should be on their knees fasting and praying for those lost souls we find anywhere. Jesus died for them. On the cross, Jesus said... Forgive them Father... We all need forgiveness. If you have ever read the book, The Cross and The Switchblade, it shows prayer and fasting for deliverance from drugs was foundational to the program from its inception in 1958 (in the movie they show the prayer but not the fasting).

The addiction becomes their idol, their God.

We can’t lower the law because the law is a school teacher to lead us to Christ as Paul says (Gal 3:20). If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Ps 11:3).

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20).

It is definitely a heinous crime... We have to remember that without salvation, people are “enemies of God” (See Rom 1:18 to end of chapter)…Psalm 7 tells us, “11 God is a righteous judge and a God who feels indignation each day. 12 If one does not repent, God will sharpen His sword; He has bent and strung His bow. 13 He has prepared His deadly weapons; He ordains His arrows with fire.…”

Yes we do outreaches to the inner city as well as the suburbs, fasting, praying for outreaches, and soup kitchens, rescue missions, et cetera, but the minute we start calling good evil and evil good or relaxing another area of God’s Word we are adding to the day the World is judged. It does not say that Christians shall not live by bread alone, but Man — all humans are bound to the laws of society and the law of God — “thou shall not steal” is a pretty clear commandment and a pillar of society, respected around the world. There is a difference between “asking” and “begging” — then again, stealing while in an evacuation zone is a double crime.

No, corporal punishment exceeds the crime, but time in jail would be appropriate first for the contemp of evacuation orders, then for breaking and entering, then for stealing, possession of stolen goods, the sale of stolen goods and lastly for the receiving of stolen goods. I’d say 3-5-7 years no parole would be fitting and hopefully dissuade this from occurring again.

I would not end there — without the gospel there is no hope, for the answer is not in locking people up but by setting them free by the gospel. They should attend chapel services and then enter a halfway house to transition back into a drug free and sober society.
